Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Lost 1-0 to QPR :( Annoying. If I had avoided defeat then I'd have broken the club's record for most games unbeaten.

Chelsea drew against Boro so the damage won't have been too bad... still, it's an opportunity missed to close the gap.

Next up: Bury.

Aye, I thought I'd slip up soon enough, just thankful it coincided with you losing, and I actually increased the gap instead of closing it...

Got Everton next up, Ronaldo will be in line to make his debut...I've got a 2nd string out against Leicester in the cup tonight....

Was meant to be, but seemingly everyone ignores it now.

The game world owner can set it so you can't buy from unmanaged teams in the game setup, but you can only change that in pre season or before the end of turn 1...

A nice win against Leicester with my 2nd string...

A fully fit squad now to take on Everton...and a Ronaldo debut on the cards...

Along with a few other positional ones. Reliably informed that Portugal is about to be reviewed so hopefully Alex Sandro goes up 2 to 89. From the Porto forums I've looked at he has been great this season.

He got into the Champions League team of the week as well :) http://en.uclratings.uefa.com/Player/TeamOfWeek/

Sandro went up 2 today.

That's my full first team squad done in terms of rises. Wijnaldum hasn't been reviewed (I don't think) but a rating change looks unlikely despite scoring 13 goals and having 5 assists in the Eredivisie this season.

Posted this in the newbies last night. Looking for new players:

Ok, we're going to try and fill some of the teams that are currently unmanaged. Here is the list of unmanaged teams in the top 3 divisions along with finance info and some of their best players:

If anyone who isn't currently in the league is interested in taking over any of those teams, or someone who is currently in a lower division team wants to manage a Division 1/2 side, please either post here or send me a PM or if you know anyone on the caf who would like to play this, let them know. Thank you.

Note: For the teams that are currently in debt (Leicester, Wigan and Brighton) you won't be able to buy any players, but unfortunately they won't be able to sell any either at the moment so I recommend staying away from them for the time being. For the other teams with 24 players, you won't be able to sell any players until you buy one. As you can all see from the screenshot, some have big balances. In terms of teams I'd recommend taking over, these are the ones I think are best in order in Division 1:

1. Blackburn Rovers (Good team but on the old side)
2. Leeds United (Great stadium capacity but bad defence)
3. Swansea City (Seriously, it wouldn't be the best of ideas to take over this side unless you like the idea of rebuilding a team that has been near gutted. They do have one of the best balances of the lot, so it might be a nice challenge for some.)

Any questions you may have, please post here as well.

What the hell did they do to Brighton!? Poor club have been run into the ground.

He thought he could have Div 2 wages in Div 3, with a tiny ground. He was also a right pain to negotiate with, so he would never sell players. But yeah, the clubs fecked. If someone did take over, they'd need to sell the majority of the team and rebuild with lots of young risers.

I'd be interested in taking over Fulham, if no-one else has taken it.

I would like to unveil two new additions at Sheffield Wednesday this evening.

any teams in the top division up for grabs? I have free time on my hands now,

Cheers Damo. Sorry about not seeing your earlier post. Was drunk at the time.

I'l take one of Blackburn or West Brom. I'd like to see the squads though if its possible to help me decide which one to pick.

Varun, if it helps I've just become the thing I hate and bought Khedira off of WBA, on the plus side they now have more money.

cnut.

Wasnt there a rule earlier of not buying from unmanaged teams in the league? :(

Yes, but it's blatantly ignored now, so either join in or get left behind.

If you want them and apply quickly, you could possibly stop the Khedira deal before Big-Red actually gets him. Bid has been accepted but can be rejected before he becomes BR's player.

Blackburn Rovers:
