Awesome stuff but borderline sickening in the end. Margarito is freakishly tough and he looked like he had Manny badly wobbled in the sixth and again in the seventh. Briefly looked like a repeat of Margarito-Cotto could be on the cards but Manny rallied and in the end it probably should have been stopped after the tenth or so. Tony could barely see, was barely able to throw punches and he was absorbing a brutal amount of punishment. Manny continues to be the closest thing to a Henry Armstrong or a Duran that our generation is likely to see (shite catchweights notwithstanding) , and Margarito's sheer guts go some way towards salvaging some sort of positive reputation post-handwrap debacle.
Just watched the Harrison fight again
What bothers me is how a couple of pro fighters can go out and not want to fight.
Haye was just has bad as Harrison in that first and second rounds.
No punches landed or thrown in the first round was a joke.
Then mid way though the 3rd Haye decided to fight , looked a bit staged to me , watching the second time round.
Dont want to say fix , but there I said it fix.
tbh, Haye was only 'bad' because he knew when he wanted to finish it. Cashing in a couple of bets for his family and friends, nice of him really.
Garbage as expected though, but I bet Haye gets more from that fight that he will from any fight with the Klits, just because people just lapped it up.
Wow, brilliant fight so far. Margarito taken so many hits but making a fight out of it, just had a great round
Only idiots bought into the Haye-Harrison fight.
Pussy Boy Floyd needs to step up to the plate now, that was a masterclass by Manny last night and he's in a position where he doesn't really have anything left to prove and that makes Gayweather more likely to want to redeem his reputation.
So glad I missed Fraudley-Haye.. by all accounts a disaster of a fight and I didn't expect anything great from that match-up in the first place, what Manny-Margharito proved yesterday was a great boxing match fought in the right spirit can be more than a match for UFC.
I wonder how Margarito looks today. He's taken some severe punishment in the past but that was savage. Credit to the guy... he's one tough fecker and made it about as competitive as he could have done. Even briefly threatened to drag Pacquiao into the trenches in the 6th or 7th.

Antonio Margarito has fracture to face
ESPN.com news services
Antonio Margarito, the Mexican super welterweight beaten badly by Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night, suffered a fractured orbital bone to his face and was expected to stay in the hospital for observation through at least Sunday night, an executive with Margarito's promotions company said.
Margarito, who lost in a lopsided, 12-round decision, was taken directly to the hospital via ambulance after the fight to have cuts to his face examined.
That is when the injury to his eye socket was discovered, Top Rank executive Carl Moretti told ESPN.com's Dan Rafael in an e-mail Sunday.
Margarito had skipped the postfight news conference at the request of the fight doctor and people in his camp, an unusual move for such a big fight.
Legendary Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach was critical of the late-round decision-making of Margarito's corner, saying they should have forced a stoppage.
"There was no way I was gong to quit. I'm a Mexican, we fight until the end," Margarito said.
Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs), giving away both pounds and inches, won the WBC super welterweight belt to extend his record with a title in an eighth weight class -- two more than Oscar De La Hoya's six.
"He's a very tough guy," Roach said of Margarito (38-7, 27 KOs). "I was surprised how tough he was. He has the worst corner. They probably ruined his career by not stopping the fight."
Pacquiao turned Margarito into a bloody and nearly blind fighter with a dizzying array of punches, dominating from the opening rounds on at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The beating was so thorough that the congressman from the Philippines turned to referee Laurence Cole several times in the 11th round, imploring him to stop the fight.
"I told the referee, 'Look at his eyes, look at his cuts,' " Pacquiao said. "I did not want to damage him permanently. That's not what boxing is about."
It went on, though, even though Margarito had no chance to win.
"I can't believe that I beat someone this big and this strong," Pacquiao said. "It's hard. I really do my best to win the fight."
Pacquiao moved up in weight yet again to take on Margarito, a natural welterweight with a reputation for ruggedness in the ring.
And rugged he was, though he took a beating all night long at the hands of a faster and seemingly more powerful opponent.
Pacquiao won every round on one scorecard, 120-108, and was ahead 119-109 and 118-110 on the other two. The Associated Press had it a 120-108 shutout.
How is he a pussy just trying to make sure the fight is fought fairly? This Manny guy has moved up so quickly and even got faster with each ascension.
What really is his reservation for not wanting to partake in olympic-style drug testing?
If you have nothing to hide, this should be a minor issue for you.
Pacquiao accepted his terms for a November 13th fight, didn't he? At that point Mayweather was nowhere to be found so they made the deal with Margarito.
Don't think he has ever agreed, there was once a story i remember saying he had but was quickly denied, actually in the interview after last nights fight it didn't strike me that he was very keen on the fight happening.
Mayweather has been ducking serious opponents for ages now so it comes as no surprise to regular boxing fans he wont fight Pacquiao, this is why i still have reservations as to him being up alongside the all time greats, sure hes a highly skilled fighter and by far the best defensive fighter arguably there's ever been, but he picks his fights and dodges major opposition and has done for years, Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao and continues to move the goalposts every time theres a chance of an agreement for this fight to take place, and Pacquiao's people know it hence why Mayweather is/was demanding all these tests etc, anything to delay/postpone/ignore any potential fight that he knows he wont win.

Love watching Pacquiao fight, hes just brilliant entertainment and a true gent of the sport to, was amazed how often he landed against Margarito consistently, the speed of his punches even for such a well drilled fighter like Margarito was great to watch, and all this against a much bigger man, thats another difference between Manny and Floyd, Pacquiao is willing to fight bigger men than him and he wins with ease, when was the last time Mayweather fought a bigger man??
Im glad the mexican took a beating no time for cheats of the sport, fighting with a loaded glove is cowardly thank god mosley wasn't seriously hurt in that fight, credit for his guts mind you, its true Mexican fighters are the toughest of the tough, Barrera/Morales/Margarito all warriors in the ring.
Pacquiao v Mayweather is the one everyone wants, everyone except Mayweather, why? because he knows if he goes anywhere near Pacquiao his unbeaten record and reputation will take a beating and he doesn't want anyone like that near him, he fights pussys in the main.
Not seen anything from Mayweather to suggest he could even live with Manni, to be honest
I think Pacquaio's on a different level. Just watched his fight with Margarito...he was getting hit with huge shots and then literally clapping at them with joy and landing even bigger ones in retaliation...He's some kind of super human karate boxing nutjob

Mayweather would have trouble knocking him out but I think you are seriously underestimating his defence and boxing skills. For all the talking Mayweather does there is no denying he is supremely talanted and could be the one to beat Manny.
Did he comment on whether or not he was prepared to drop the "if you beat me, then you have to fight my brother" stipulation gayness?
