What's gay about that? It's what Haye wants to do anyway

Other than the fact that it is completely unprecedented in the sport? The full stipulation demands that should he beat one of them, he then has to fight the other. If he wins that one, he has to fight the other brother. Again. No allowances for mandatory challengers, meaning Haye could conceivably beat the Klits three times in a row, and not hold a title.

As for Mayweather, I think it's pretty bloody obvious he's been fight dodging with Manny. I don't think the fight will happen, and I think it's because deep down Mayweather wants his record and knows there's a bloody good chance it goes out of the window if he agrees

1. the fight would've already happened if Manny hadn't decided he was afraid of needles. That is on Pac. The subsequent bullshit is down to both.

2. Margarito was annihilated last year, and brutally KO'd by Shane Mosley. The guy that Floyd dominated in his last fight. Then there are the JMM fights. Pacquiao had his hands full with JMM twice, drawing and losing on many scorecards, and Mayweather completely owned Marquez. I don't want to go back and rehash what happened in the Pac-JMM fights -- the point is they were very, very close, and obviously Mayweather-JMM was not.

Anyone who thinks Floyd is "afraid" of Pac is deluded. The Castillo rematch, Corrales, Mosely....a guy who is worried about losing a fight doesn't take on these kinds of fighters.

If the fight happens (which is very much up in the air due to Mayweather's legal problems), I fully expect Floyd to do what he always does. Win.

He wouldnt have come back then so I think thats a non point.

I think its on both sides to agree (and both sides should take blame for why its not happened). It should be 50/50 split in terms of money. And I think some of these drug testing should take place but should be for both boxers.

Floyd had ego and wants to be seen as the best in the world. And he wants to make a lot of money out of it. He obviously wants to win and stay undefeated but he wants to make sure he has the best chance of this happening. I do hope he agrees to the fight before it loses interest (which I dont think it will do but if both boxers keep on going whilst not fighting each other and getting older it will less and less be seen as two of the top boxers going at it in their prime)

Likewise, Pacman and this whole drug testing thing is weird given it doesnt seem like whats being asked is very difficult. (obv I need to read up more on it though and we need to hear from both sides more on it)

Brutal.

When is Mayweather's trial/arraignment scheduled? There's a good chance the fight could not happen at all if that doesn't work out in Mayweather's favor.

I think the thing that impressed me the most about Pacquiao was the fact that his main means of defense when he was on the ropes was to hurt Margarito until he backed off. I'm not sure how that would play in a bout with Mayweather though, because I'm sure Floyd would get in and out before getting tagged by a rapid combo.

Someone said he was lying there like he was trying to peek under a door trying to see naked b*tches like when we were kids

Martinez said Pac is too small, he'll take Floyd or Cotto

Martinez pretty much ended the Paul Williams myth in their first fight. This time he killed it. Paul Williams is garbage.

Quintana ended the Williams myth. It is just a pity he fought like a retard in the rematch.

Very. He is a lock for Fighter of the Year.

He used to be a cyclist and a footy player. Took up boxing when he was 20.

There has been talk of both Pac and Floyd. I don't think either will be in any hurry to get in the ring with him.

Just watched the fight, brutal K.O. I feared for Williams for a moment, reminded me of the same image as when Foe was laying on the ground.

Lou DiBellend calls Blob Arum's bluff.

By Rick Reeno

Promoter Lou DiBella has responded to the recent comments that were made by Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank. During a recent interview with BoxingScene.com's Lem Satterfield, Arum said that he believed Manny Pacquiao would beat Sergio Martinez, but his fighter would be putting himself at a great disadvantage with respect to the difference in size and weight.

"Even if he beat Martinez, which I believe that he would, and even if he turns it into a fairly easy fight, because he's fighting someone who is a much bigger, stronger guy, he could get hurt like he did in there against Antonio Margarito. You can get him hurt once in a couple of years, but you can't keep getting him hurt every fight and expect him to continue fighting," Arum said.

Although Pacquiao's last fight took place at 154-pounds, he only weighed 144.6 at the final pre-fight weigh-in. According to DiBella, his side is willing to split the difference. Martinez, the WBC champion, would agree to a catch-weight of 155-pounds. The catch-weight for Pacquiao's last fight, with Margarito, was 150-pounds.

"If Bob feels that way, let's make the fight at 155. I know the fight won't happen next. Manny will have his fight. Sergio's next fight is going to be on HBO. Let's build the fight and make it happen next year. I think Sergio is the best fighter in the world. I know Pacquiao won't duck any challenge. We'll make the fight at 155, and frankly Sergio would have to kill himself to get there," DiBella told BoxingScene.com.

Bring it on. There can be no caveats if this fight is made and Pac wins. Martinez is not an old guy (in boxing terms), he hasn't been annihilated recently, and, despite what DiBellend says, he won't be weight drained.

Wishful thinking on my part.

Another great weekend of fights. Abraham vs Froch then later on Marquez vs Katsidis. Two potential FOTY candidates in one night. I'll take Abraham via late round beheading, and Marquez via late round stoppage on cuts. I love Katsidis so I'm hoping his strength and pressure can lead to the upset, but I think the gulf in technique will just be too much.

One of my mates is DJing and I said I'd go see him, so yeah gonna miss the Froch fight, and will probably miss Marquez-Katsidis (feck's sake).

Both hard to call to be honest, Marquez on cuts is a pretty good shout though. And I fancy Froch to win a close decision after surviving a late onslaught by Abraham. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets KO'd though. That low hands style is risky as feck against a banger like Abraham. Froch's chin is getting put to the test one way or the other.

Will be shocked if at least one of these isn't a fight of the year candidate. And I'm missing them.

Unlucky mate. Sure you'll be able to download them pretty easily in the morning. Froch winning via decision wouldn't surprise me either. Abraham is a class fighter but his workrate (or lack of it) lets him down badly at times. Segura is fighting tomorrow as well. Hoping to get a gander at that over the weekend as I was very imressed with him walking down Calderon in his last fight. I'm just a sucker for Terminator-esque sluggers.

Abraham reckons he's gonna start earlier this time round (in terms of workrate), but I still think Froch builds up a decent lead after the first couple of rounds. I put a fiver on Froch winning rounds 1-3 with Paddy Power at 22/1. I reckon there's a decent chance that it pays off.

Didn't realise Segura was fighting as well, only time I've ever seen him is against Calderon but he impressed me... gave one of the sport's best movers/most slippery customers nowhere to go and dragged him into a fight he wanted no part of.

Thought this might interest a few people.

The Froch fight is 10:30ish isn't it?

Yes. There is an EU Heavyweight title fight starting now. Crotch should be up next.

And still neither Sky nor one of the terrestrial channels are covering Froch and the Super Six.

BBC Fivelive have been consistent supporters of both but that is radio only.

This commentary is fecking embarrassing. Froch has hit nothing but guard so far, yet if you are paying attention to these assholes, he's walking it.

Ridiculous.

Totally assured display from Froch tonight, start to finish. :)

It was all his corner could do to hold him back in the last few rounds mind.
