The RedCafe Boxing Thread

feck off A-Force, you got your title shot somehow and didn't even throw a punch. I will be glad to see the back of the delusional twat.

I fell for it, i've seen a lot of Harrison's fights before this and still fell for the idea that he might actually be on the attack in this fight.

He talks a good game but lord almighty he is such an awful boxer.

he's finished now....

Haye's just said he had lots of friends and family with money on the third, no wonder he didn't do much in 1&2!!

It's nice of David Haye to put to bed his beef with someone he's just embarrassed massively in from of a global audience...

And who now seems to be locked out of his own dressing room

I learned my lesson a long time ago. Never to pay for a boxing match.

The stream was good anyway for such a short fight. Audley Harrison had plenty of talk but couldn't produce as always. David Haye, well he's different class.

2230: Audley Harrison does not stick around to do any ringside interviews as he leaves the arena. Not for the first time in his career he leaves to a chorus of boos. Harrison had his big chance tonight but he did not land one clean punch on Haye. Is this the last we will see of Harrison?

in the short of it. Yes.

And that my friends was why we're all idiots for getting excited for a heavyweight boxing contest! Harrison was even worse than I expected. Haye got the job done, but he needs to just shut up and sign a contract to fight a Klit.

So, boxing experts, answer me this..

Just how good actually is Haye?

He's just said he'll fight one of them next year after they've done 'fighting fat American's for a payday', if he doesn't step up and do it then he'll always be known for dodging the real fights imo.

His trainer now saying that as long as the Klitschko's come to the table with a 50/50 offer the fight will happen.

Not an expert by any means but he's pretty good. He's not really been overly tested though, sadly the Heavyweight division is in a shocking state. Valuev is just a lumbering fool who won by basically being so much larger than everyone and not by having boxing ability. Haye just punched and ran away from him, John Ruiz was a better test but he just proved too much for a guy who was about to retire anyway.

The only real test in the Heavyweight division is the Klitschko brothers and you won't know how good Haye really is until he fights either of those two.

Harrison reckons the shot that put him down was on the back of the head and the refs call to end the fight was premature...

He's got a nerve giving them shit for their level of competition after tonight! Hope he keeps to his word and fights one of them next. Monte Barrett was a decent first opponent at heavyweight (not counting that Polish guy he fought when he was still titleholder at cruiser), and the Valuev and Ruiz fights were justifiable, but he's running out of options and excuses now.

Even the Klitschko brothers aren't all that. There are no real classic fighters out there at the moment.

I heard Steve Bunce on 5live saying the Klitschko's are really hard to deal with never fair with money. Hope Haye fights both next year.
