I did get my 3 round prediction wrong(and lost a bet in the mix) but i was right. Paulie simply doesn't have the power to keep Khan off him.
I did tell you Paulie was tough. How much did you lose?

He is not ready for Mayweather, wont be for 2-3 years yet and by then Mayweather will have "retired" again.

More likely Maidana or Alexander and then if he comes through those Bradley but right now he isnt ready for him either.

Thought Khan looked pretty good last night and deserves full credit for stopping Malignaggi, who, from about the 6th onwards, just couldn't get out the way of Khan's shots... or at least his left hand, I thought the timing of his right was a bit off all night, but then Paulie's always been quite awkward.

There were signs of continued improvement under Roach's tutelage, his defence looks tighter and that jab of his has some serious pop these days. His variety of shots is still too limited, though, and there are still question marks over his inside game and his chin, but he has plenty going for him right now.

Hopefully he can get it on with Maidana and silence the people claiming he's getting KO'd by the next banger he faces. Khan defo has the speed (I'd forgotten just how quick he is), the skills and the stamina to win a comfortable UD. I doubt it'd even be a boring fight because you know that one punch can turn the fight on its head. That's the beauty of watching Khan, really.

May not be ready but do you reckon his aspirations reach that high?

I'd love to see him test his worth early in his career before PBF gets his last fight

And who knows, if Khan beats PBF, maybe he ends his career.

PBF has taken care of alot better fighters than Khan and I just don't think Khan will ever be good enough to take him on and at this stage of his career it would be a silly move. Unify the division first and then think about the likes of Pacquiao or PBF, I think that's his ambition and he has time on his hands as well as a top coach.

Khan would struggle to last 3 rounds against Mayweather, lets see if he can actually take a shot off a half decent puncher before he gets in the ring with potentially the best ever.

Having said that I don't really like Khan and would love to see him take that beating.

Nobody has said a word about this fight but please be ready for World War 4:

I haven't mentioned it, because there is no need for it, IMO. As a boxing fan, I really don't want to see these two guys batter each other again.

It will no doubt be a war, I just hope they both come through with their health intact. But I won't be watching.

Marquez wins by 3rd round kayo. Vazquez's cuts are ridiculous!
There is no need for a 5th fight both men should be proud and accept the modern masterpiece they have given us

Anyone watch the Vitali fight? He looked like shit. The Dragon gave him his toughest fight in years. I hear he only trained for a month so that could be a factor. Based solely on tonight's performance, though, he should seriously consider hanging them up. This guy was shut out by Zuri fecking Lawrence.

The specticle those Germans put on def over-shadowed a poor performance by Vitali, but he was still well ahead on scorecards

Wladimir Klitschko is one lucky bugger

I wouldn't be surprised if Foreman wins tonight. Cotto has taken some serious beatings, and Foreman is considerably bigger. I also think he's a tad underrated.

In new Yankee Stadium no less. Can't be bothered to stay up for it but would hate to find some megaupload/rapidshare fight links in my PM box tomorrow morning.

I happen to know for a fact that CLK despises any and all piracy. So you don't have to worry, there is absolutely no way he will provide you with any of that kind of illegal contraband.

Oh my was that entertaining.

Cotto obliterated Foreman for 8 rounds in a very open fight. But then it got fun.

Foreman's knee blew out and he fell twice in quick succession. Then like some hybrid wounded deer/hunchback of Notre Dame he stood and exchanged blows with Cotto in between limping away for the remaining 1:30. Despite clearly being crocked, Foreman continued into the next round. Early on he fell again and from left field came the towel.

However, after consulting with Foreman, the ref agreed to allow the fight to continue and ordered the flocking members of each corner out of the ring and the fight to resume. Again, Foreman stood and interchanged blows before Cotto rocked him with a monster hook to the body. Finally, after two rounds and a tremendous show of heart, he was down from a punch.

Incredibly enjoyable. Yuri Foreman won a fan here.

I see Mercante is getting some stick for his decision and praise from others, honestly I think he did a good job with that and gave Foreman the chance he deserved.

Still not a fan of Foreman's style but he won me over with that performance. Great display of guts and determination.

How good was Cotto's left hook tho? Right behind the elbow... looked fecking savage.

Wdf?

David Haye camp confirms Audley Harrison talks underway

The manager of WBA title-holder David Haye has confirmed he has spoken to Audley Harrison's camp about an all-British heavyweight showdown this year.

But Adam Booth insists Harrison is one of six possible opponents and says no contract discussions have taken place.

Harrison had also said talks were under way with the Klitschko brothers.

But the Ukrainians' manager Bernd Boente told the BBC that there had been no talks and predicted Haye would take the "easy option" and fight Harrison.

Harrison, 38, has vacated the European crown he won with a last-gasp knockout of Michael Sprott in April and the Olympic super-heavyweight champion from 2000 says he will be ready to fight in October, having recovered from a torn pectoral muscle.

Vitali Klitschko, 38, holds the WBC title while his brother Wladimir, 34, holds the IBF and WBO belts - and anticipation has risen over a possible meeting for either brother with 29-year-old Haye.

"David Haye is a false prophet. One punch and that chin will shatter like glass," said Harrison.

"If I was him I'd keep running from the Klitschkos and keep beating up on shop-worn American heavyweights.

"I'm told by my promoters that both David Haye and the Klitschko brothers have expressed an interest in facing me when I return after rehab.

"If it's either Klitschko brother the task will be hard, but that's how I want it. I respect both brothers as they are effective at what they do but both can be beat.

"Whatever the route I will find a way to fulfil my destiny and become heavyweight champion of the world."

Vitali Klitschko laboured to a 10th-round knockout of Poland's Albert Sosnowski in his last fight last month.

Sosnowski held the European title before Harrison and was scheduled to fight the Londoner in April but opted for a clash with Klitschko instead.

Meanwhile, Wladimir Klitschko was scheduled to fight Haye last year, only for the Englishman to withdraw with a back injury.

Haye went on to fight Nikolay Valuev for the WBA belt instead, outpointing the giant Russian in Nuremburg last November.

Boente told the BBC that either of the brothers would prefer to fight Haye, but accused the Briton of "running scared".

We have not discussed for one minute a fight with Audley Harrison

"He's always challenging the Klitschko brothers but since Vitali challenged him we haven't heard from him. My feeling is that he's afraid," said Boente.

"We have not discussed for one minute a fight with Audley Harrison and at the moment it would not make much sense, it's not up for discussion. I think he wants to bring that to Haye's people."

Haye knocked out former world champion John Ruiz in nine rounds in April, since when he has been non-committal about his future.

Harrison's promoter Eddie Hearn has no doubts as to what Haye's next move should be, calling a match between the two Londoners potentially "the biggest the UK has ever seen".

"Everyone wants to fight Audley because they know what he brings to the table," added Hearn, the son of veteran sports promoter Barry.

"He will be installed as the mandatory challenger for the European title but we are also in discussions with the Klitchkos and David Haye and Adam Booth regarding a world title shot later this year.

"Audley's last two appearances in the UK have attracted record viewing figures, so couple that with Haye's popularity and the fight is huge."

Since winning gold at the Sydney Olympics, Harrison's professional career has been a rollercoaster affair and before his victory over Sprott in April he had never been in possession of a recognised title.

His career looked all but over before his triumph in Barry Hearn's Prizefighter heavyweight tournament last October and he was behind on points against Sprott before producing a stunning left hook in the final round.

And while Eddie Hearn may be overstating things when he says a match between Haye and Harrison, who used to be close friends, is potentially the biggest in British history, it would certainly appeal to many boxing fans.

BBC Sport - Boxing - David Haye camp confirms Audley Harrison talks underway

Audley Harrison has vacated his European heavyweight title, opening the door to a showpiece World title fight when he makes his return from injury in October.

The 38 year-old had an operation on a pectoral muscle last month to correct the injury that forced him to fight one-handed against Michael Sprott from the fourth round of their European title bout at Alexandra Palace in April. The injury hampered Harrison for the remainder of the fight until he produced a stunning last-gasp knockout victory to land the title he is now surrendering.

Harrison has a number of options available to him for his early winter return, with his promoter Eddie Hearn saying there is potentially Britain’s biggest fight ever against David Haye in the pipeline.

“Everyone wants to fight Audley because they know what he brings to the table,” said Hearn. “He will be installed as the mandatory challenger for the European title but we are also in discussions with the Klitchko’s and Adam Booth and David Haye regarding a World title shot later this year. We are keeping our options open right now but the Haye fight is huge. Audley's last two appearances in the UK have attracted record viewing figures, so couple that with David Haye's popularity and this is the biggest fight the UK has ever seen.”

Harrison’s career has been a roller-coaster ride since he turned professional after claiming Olympic gold in 2000. The Londoner has been in the headlines throughout his career, winning the WBF heavyweight title before sparking rivalries with Danny Williams and Sprott. After to moving to America, a chance meeting with Hearn in Las Vegas saw Harrison sign-up for Prizefighter, scooping the title at ExCeL in October – and he says he is ready to grab the headlines again by taking a shot at the world title.

“I'm told by my promoters that both David Haye and the Klitchko's brothers have expressed an interest in facing me when I return after rehab,” said Harrison. “If it’s either Klitchko brother, the task will be hard, but that's how I want it. I respect both brothers as they are effective at what they do but both can be beat. As I said before David Haye is a false Prophet, one punch on that chin and it will shatter like glass. Poor form from Haye if this goes ahead. I don't really blame him for wanting to make as much money as possible - after all, with both of them being household names it will be a big event domestically - but running his mouth the way he has only to fight Audley fecking Harrison when he's got Wlad calling him out? Such bullshit.
