Anyone up for Mitchell/Katsidis? Should be a tear up.

I hope Katsidis beats him like a rug. Mitchell reminds me of Dennis Wise.

Yeah will be. Katsidis has his flaws but he's brilliant to watch and he's a classy guy to boot. Defo rooting for him.

Should be a good night of boxing with the Khan fight being shown later on. Anyone know if ITV are gonna be showing the undercard? Hope so cos there's some good fights on before the main event.

17,000 tickets already sold, they reckon a further 3,000 will walk up on the night.

Mitchell had to do engineering work on the underground when times got tough apparently.

Malignaggi is good and a step up for Khan but he has absolutely no power of note so he's not the man to trouble Khans main weakness, his chin. I see Khan just being too quick and powerful for him, I mean this is a guy even a half-baked Hatton put away and dominated.

Who's your money on Lance?
Khan by one sided UD. Paulie might even hit the canvas a couple of times. Khan is bigger, stronger, faster, and hits harder. Paulie is a feather fisted turd, with above average speed, and a solid chin. He has been basically handpicked by Goldenboy and Freddie Roach.

Khan loses this, he's through.

I would agree with that but to be fair to Paulie he did take Cotto the distance one, hes not terrible. I do agree that he has been handpicked though, perfect fight for Khan to tee off on someone that has no real venom in their punches.

He is a step up for Khan, I agree, but he loses to good fighters. Juan Diaz is a 135 pound fighter, so while I give him credit for winning the rematch, I wasn't overly impressed. As you say, he was comfortably outboxed by a past his best Hatton, he can't punch, so he's the ideal opponent for Khan to make a statement.

Then I hope we'll see Khan fight Maidana.

Have to say I disagree about this being a step up for Khan. I don't think this guy is any better than Salita to be honest. Khan will take him out within 3 rounds.
Salita was completely unproven. Paulie has operated at world class level for a number of years. His chin is solid. If Khan takes him out early it will be an impressive achievement.

I'm not so sure about his chin, I just feel that he has very little physical strength and punching power so I don't see how he will keep Khan at bay with such little threat.

I think with a guy like Khan who is in my opinion a fully fleged middleweight boxing at light welterweight if his oponents offers nothing in the way of resistance then he will simply steam roll them. I can't see paulie offering much resistance, I only see one way traffic.

I'd say the Cotto that Paulie went the distance with hits harder than Khan. And he landed some bombs. Paulie looks like a rump wrangler, but he's tough. We'll find out tomorrow night.

I'm more interested in Ortiz/Campbell. That is a fight with potential.

Ha, wouldn't be surprised if Khan has to get off the deck at some point, Malignaggi managed to stun Diaz (can't remember whether it was in their first or second fight) so he can do the same to Khan if he catches him right. He's a good fighter but his chin is just terrible.

I'm quite surprised by Roach's early knockout prediction because Paulie can take a punch and has loads of heart... will defo be impressed if Khan manages to stop him. Any win is still pretty impressive considering he's much better than anyone Khan has faced before.

Anyway, Paulie is tailor-made for Khan to look good against and I expect him to send out a bit of a message to the rest of the division with a solid win.

Would love Paulie to win this fight but I really can't see it as has been said he has been picked for this fight because he has no punch power.

Also beatings take a lot out of a fighter and he has had a couple of real bad beatings against Cotto & Hatton.

To be honest though much more looking forward to seeing the mitchell fight than Khan think it has more potential, only just realised that Khan isn't box office tonight which is a bonus as I wouldn't pay £15 quid for him.

Williams was very poor, Billy Joe saunders looked handy thrown over a hundred shots in every round but seemed to lack power that may just been down to the hand injury he had though.

Nah, he's gone the distance a few times now. He has quick hands, and his punches look good, but I don't think there's a whole lot on them. He needs to slow things down at certain times and plant his feet more.

Is Malignaggi the one that has the dreads and fancies himself a bit. Also the one that had a mid-fight hair cut.

Yes.

Great punch to win the fight from DeGale. He needs to pull his head out of his ass, though, and concentrate on his opponent.

I find Degale to be quite annoying he seems to think he is Floyd Mayweather or something, he clearly has a lot of talent though.

Just watched the weight in for the Amir Khan and Paulie Malignaggi WTF was all the cut throat action from Paulie Malignaggi about what a muppet.
I dont like Khan and think he is over rated but I hope he knocks Malignaggi in to the middle of next week

I'm gonna go with Mitchell, could go either way though but hope he wins it.

always nice to beat the convicts :smirk:

Before we get down to the boxing in earnest, what happened with the anthem? I felt for her.

Sounds like an awesome atmosphere, Mitchell will have to be careful that he doesn't let it go to his head.

He looked like he was down and out and then made a revival and then...*tear up script*

He was walking onto shots after he first got stunned for about thirty seconds.

Shame.
