Haye said the real reason Tyson doesn't want to fight him was evidenced in the ring tonig ht, because of the power he possesses. No one wants to be in that situation.:lol:

That Haye interview went on

And on

And on.
It was odd. The bloke doing the interview kep looking away and looked more disinterested than the average viewer.

If Haye moves up the ladder and becomes mandatory challenger Tyson said he'll vacate that belt. I'm not having that he would vacate every belt he had in order to not fight Haye.

Same, but I hope he sticks to his guns. Haye deserves feck all from Tyson.

What an absolute tosser.

What reason did Haye give for pulling out of his first fight with Fury?

Injuries both times. Cut in sparring and shoulder.

Anyone staying up for the Wilder fight? I want to see what all the fuss is about.

That Haye fight was hilarious. He obviously went to the same gym the Rock did when he left WWE.

Hmm, am half-tempted. World's sliwest walk on, mind...Am flagging a bit though.

For those that missed it. Wilder was poor through the first 4 rounds then started to land concussive blows that notably slowed Szpilka down with each passing round from the 5th. The KO was brutal. Szpilka was down and asleep for well up to 5 mins.

Tyson Fury made an appearance in a wrestling-esque interview exchange. A short clip below but Tyson afterwards was stripping off in the corner gesturing that he was ready to go and fight now

Sorry but I think Fury is just a joke FFS he is World Champion he does not need to do stunts like that.

WOW that was some knockout punch.

What?!?? That's what boxing is about!! It's always been about more than just what happens in the ring. Fury has helped bring it back to life.

I cannot wait til he knocks Wilder out. Yanks think they have their own Lewis but they are just wrong.

he may well knock him out yes , but that wont alter that fact I dont like him and think he is a clown.

Not sure how anyone can blame Haye for returning against a top 10 WBA ranked opponent and shifting him out of there in a round. The fact is De Mori looked like he completely froze on the night and offered no resistance. If anything the WBA need to be looked at in relation to the ranking but of course there aren't that many good heavyweights out there let alone ones who would want to get in the ring with Haye at this stage.

not blaming Haye, I agree blame the WBA.

He looked basic as anything in the montage of his previous fights and he couldn't even throw a hook properly when he was on the pads with his trainer. OK he froze on the night but no way is he the 10th best heavyweight in the world. He probably wouldn't even make the top 10 in Britain.

As for Wilder, he has worse footwork than Tyson Fury. I laughed out loud at some of the little dances he did to get himself back in his stance. I think he is a better style for Haye than Fury though. Haye is like Szplika x 20. He can stay on the outside, has a crouched stance, but he gets in a lot faster and hit a lot lot harder than Szplika, once he stuns his opponent he can get in 2 - 5 devastating punches of in a second.

As for Wilder's chin, one of his main problem I think is his footwork, it is so poor that he is off balance often, he seems to get knocked around the ring off the slightest touch.

Wilder certainly has a strange, ungainly style- saw what you mean about balance more than once last night.
Ferocious KO punch though. Made me laugh when he said 'this isn't the WWE' to Fury.

Yeah, he has alot of vulnerabilities but he can take anyone out with one punch. I don't know how the Fury - Wilder fight would play out because they are fairly evenly matched in height and reach, Fury just edging it. Wilder would have a lot of his style taken away from him but then again Fury isn't a big puncher and has shown chin vulnerabilities of his on in the past. Same with Joshua, he is a lot more skilled and fast than Wilder but doesn't have much head movement which wouldn't be good against a guy with the power of Wilder. Styles make fights as they say and I think Haye has the best style and skill set to take him out.

Finally Fury getting the credit he deserves from one of the major boxing outlets. HBO shot down his win over Wlad ffs.

Anyway, Tyson (Iron Mike) says Fury is the best champ since him.
Tyson knows shit. Both Holyfield and especially Lewis were better champions than him. Maybe Vlad too.

Fury just selling it, he wants to make sure he makes good money when it's PPV on Showtime over in the States.

Wilder seemed like he could take a punch but his defence seemed pretty open a lot. Too early for Joshua, but maybe Haye would be a difficult opponent for him. Hard to judge Haye on last night's fight. He surely needs two or three more fights and least one challenging one before he is ready.
Take it Haye is nowhere on the rankings so can be easily ducked in favour of a mandatory?

AJ could be in line for a shot at the IBF belt according to the rankings and looking at Charles Martin he looks the easiest of the champs, could see Haye trying to talk his way in to fight with him as well.

Yeah, he said himself he wants a few fights first anyway. He came in heavier and less ripped and aims to stay that way. Probably because of his age and so he is more like a real heavyweight in size. I think he wants to get used to fighting with that body shape first. Wilder hasn't fought anyone of note still so I think he might continue on that path for a few fights. I don't see him fight Fury that soon and I don't think AJ wants that fight just yet.

Haye should look to fight twice this year against reasonably credible opponents. Then step up.

Wilder got rocked in his last fight (I think it was, might of been the 1 before) and looked like he was going to go down. I'd guess a better fighter would of at least put him down, similar to AJ vs. Whyte really I thought.

I don't think Wilder has much about him to be honest, he's pretty average I'd imagine Fury would comfortably beat him (and I don't think Fury is that good really!) If he fights Povetkin next then I could see him beating Wilder as well.

people will be queuing to fight that Martin, looked terrible and has never fought anyone really. Can't imagine he gets 1 successful defence.

Re the Haye stuff it was an easy fight but he's hardly going to come back against a top ranked fighter. Fair play to him for selling out the stadium shows he is still a popular fighter despite all the Dave stuff.

I think its more because he's spent the last three years 'retired' pumping himself full of steroids whilst he's not being drugs tested.

Wilder is a very average fighter. Haye would win that one easily, but it would never get made. Fury wins as well. Povetkin probably beats all three, with Haye having the best chance.
