Who the feck is Prince Patel?

Edit: I hope he gets his face smashed in his next fight. And after that too.

Anyone who refers to themselves in the third person is usually a cnut.*

*Unless you have a world class record to back up your trash talk.

He shouldn't have been on a show even one as low rent as box nation and it's no wonder he talks the way he does about himself as people are clearly not smart enough to see that its an act designed to get him publicity and who can blame him as so far it is working for him. I doubt I'd have heard of him if he was the quiet type and now that I have hear of him i'll do my best to forget him till he does something genuinely worthy of my attention.

I am. Shame Brook had to pull out otherwise it would have been a really good card.
Yeah, bit underwhelming. Despite the fact that Brook would have been fighting another bum, it's always good to see him fight. Still, two good fights to look forward to.

Ever been a better British boxer? Not in my lifetime anyway.

Mayweather of the middle weight/light heavyweight division.

Agreed. I've never seen any boxer with the natural stamina & lasting power of Calzaghe. Dude would throw 60+ punches in every round of a fight and not look gassed by the end :wenger:

Indeed, the Khan fight should be closer now that Pac doesn't look like he will fight him. I think the Quigg vs Frampton announcement is imminent too.

Is it Eubank after this? Should be a knock over job, right?

Had a really weird sort of style too, ducking, weaving, then landing punches. Not the biggest hitter, but rarely got hit big. Never seen anything like it (except Mayweather I guess). Really unorthodox.

Quigg/Frampton will happen eventually you'd think, be a cracking fight (I'd back Frampton, personally). I still think Khan and Brook will both fight relatively easy opponents before fighting each other -- I'm thinking July or August of next year maybe.

Yep -- you can get Eubank at 1/100 if you fancy it

He looked good Eubank Jr last night although it was hardly the best opposition, still his whole "persona" including his Dad hanging round like a bad smell maes him really unlikeable for me. It's a legacy to be proud of in fairness to the whole family but they really milk it for all it's worth.

Frampton has got to be the favourite there. Will be an excellent fight, hopefully can get a decent under card together as well.

Reports about Mayweather/Manny rematch today, seems hugely unlikely though.

Boxing news: Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather rematch a possibility

Manny Pacquiao, who is set to hang his gloves after his farewell fight in April, is yet to finalise his opponent for his last bout, but he did suggest negotiations are on for a possible rematch against Floyd Mayweather.

A number of names have been doing the rounds ever since Top Rank promoter Bob Arum confirmed about his retirement. As of now, Amir Khan and Terence Crawford are considered in the reckoning as Pacquiao's opponent.

Khan, who had come close to a bout against Mayweather and Pacquaio in the past, was regarded the biggest contender for the American's farewell fight. However, Mayweather decided to fight Andre Berto, after which the UK boxer has shifted focus to Pacquaio; the match could still happen and both the boxers could make mega bucks. More than the money, it is the pride that will be at stake for the boxers.

A Pacquiao-Khan bout seems mouth-watering as both the boxers are aggressive and swift movers, which can make the fight even more interesting. There were suggestions that the fight between the two could take place next year in the Middle East.

But boxing fans might have been excited when Pacquiao talked about a possible rematch with Mayweather on his Facebook page.

"I don't know yet who's my opponent next but we're still negotiating right now about the rematch with Floyd Mayweather so hoping for that," he said.

One doubts whether a rematch is possible as Mayweather had made it clear about his retirement, saying he does not have anything more to achieve in the sport. When these two boxers met for the most anticipated fight of the century in May, the American came up with a superb game to defeat Pacquaio.

Both the boxers made a huge moolah from the bout as it was one of the richest sporting event in the world. If Mayweather comes out of his retirement, which looks unlikely, expect the two boxers to make more money from the bout.

Can't wait, looking forward to that 1....hard to call, I think Frampton edges but it could go either way! Definitely be getting tickets.

Same day United are at home to Arsenal as things stand. Possibility of a cracking sporting weekend in Manchester there.

Be interesting what they do with that Arsenal game. I'd imagine it's moved for TV. Hopefully not to Saturday 5:15 though as ideally I'd be going to both and it'd be a bit of a nightmare getting from Old Trafford to MEN in that amount of time!

Would go with Frampton, but it's a pick em kind of fight. Should be excellent.

AJ's gonna smash him, Dillian didn't look too confident when they were head to head.

I am growing a dislike for Josuhas Mr nice guy media drilled persona.

I want to see Dillian give him a good fight and hopefully put him in waters that he hasn't entered before. Test his medal.

Delighted the Frampton Quigg match has been made. Has everything needed to be a classic.

Tough one to call as well. Had Frampton down as favourite but home advantage could swing it. 50/50 fight.

Also, any truth in these Kahn-Pacquiao rumours?

Calzaghe is the best boxer Britain has produced for me. He was just a fighting machine. Always remember watching a HBO download of his fight with Kessler and how blown away Emanuel Steward was. He honestly couldn't believe how good Calzaghe was in the flesh. And that man knew a thing or two about Boxing.
