When will Joshua get a decent opponent?

Kevin Johnson was a decent opponent, just as Whyte will (hopefully) be come December. Really hoping he steps it up in 2016 and takes on the likes of Povetkin to set up a world title fight with Wlad/Fury... Okay, to set up a world title fight with Wlad.

Johnson had a decent record , but anybody that goes into a fight like that without a team behind him cannot be taken seriously.

Was an even fight imo. I don't think Groves was robbed -- to take the belt out of Vegas he had to do more than he did.

That's fair, but 116-111 it wasn't.

Crazy fight that was, how the feck are you supposed to score that. I figure Salido wins the title.

Can't argue with that result to be fair, would love another rematch.

Also, why has Amir Khan taken to making suits out of his old dressing gowns?

Decent undercard tbh, can't moan about there being little action. Let's hope Berto can pu... Never mind, he's got no chance

Tonight is a good example of why I don't make accumulator bets. Out of four bets I got 2 right, one was voided and one lost (Groves). Still if you put £10 on each bet then you wagered £40 and you now have £41 in your pocket. It's not a good night but I haven't gone backwards. We live to fight another day.

Dunno if it's my stream but I don't think I've heard the atmosphere at a PPV fight as dead as this fight, everyone knows what's going to happen, it's almost silent.

Such a shit fight, and I actually like watching Mayweather's fights. Horrible way to end a career, picking a fighter of such low quality.

Credit to Berto, giving it his best shot -- honestly, Floyd doesn't look so great here. I can see why he picked this fight.

Entitled to do so, giving the career he's had, though.

Just not enough though. Mayweather has won every round, bar the last. Berto needs a KO, and I can't see him getting it against the best defensive boxer in history.

Floyd should have lost the last round for running around in those last ten seconds, twat

A lot of salt in this thread

I don't mind Mayweather, I quite like watching him fight (not last night though) but fans will always be frustrated by him in boxing as, by his own omission, he wants to look after himself rather than attack and fight. I don't blame him personally as there's far to many fighters across all contact sports who are now fecked from taking to many punches. IF you believe what he says and he wants to be around for his kids and look after them then it's admirable. He's marketed himself brilliantly....people paid to see him lose at times when the reality is it wasn't that close. People argue he was killing boxing but then the numbers don't lie, he brought (and made) a lot of money for the sport.

One thing I will never get with Mayweather is the pros who slag him off. De La Hoya and Pacquiao are the worst 2 for it. Pac I can understand as he's after a rematch but DLH is just sad about it all really. Though I can't stand DLH myself so am probably a bit biased. I don't think he'll retire, he'll fight once more, probably in the new MGM Arena when it opens and get a ridiculous amount of money, I'd guess a rematch with Pac. If Mayweather was to retire it probably wold improve that division somewhat as the fighters who are obsessed with fighting him would have no choice but to fight each other so we may get some good fights out of it.

As for the other fights. AJ was the usual, he'll beat Whyte fairly easily as well I think although it is a harder fight than his others. I reckon he'll step up quite a bit next year and potentially go for a title shot the year after. Groves is at a huge crossroads now though, he's back down the bottom of the pecking order and has come up short 3 times in world title fights. The potential DeGale fight is one he'll probably try and talk himself in to but I can't see him as a legitimate title contender for a while really, personally I don't think he#s good enough, the controversial loss to Froch was probably the best thing that ever happened to his career really.

anyone know if there will be a live stream for the Fury/Wlad presser at 1pm?

Fury turned up to the presser in a full Batman outfit. Nobody is sure why.
