I hate this part of the sport. We have trained fighters getting in these public disputes, yet no-one ever gets hit. Why are these people even in the same vicinity, how come these issues always happen in full view

This kind of thing is terrible for the sport. No way the UFC would stage something like this. They may resort to short term thinking with matchmaking etc, but this is many steps further than they would go after the decades of trying to legitimise the sport.
If Conor is mad about the belt issue then he has no one but himself to blame. He hasn't fought a UFC fight in ages and seems to think they will wait for him until he decides he feels like fighting again.
Not to mention the fact that they fought for years to get permission to hold events in NY and now this.

Any form of grappling is quality in a street fight if you know what you're doing. Being slammed on the floor is fecking painful and not the shit you see in the movies. People dont just get back up.
