Harsh for Hughes, after the first round he seemed to have the momentum in the fight and Usman tired quite severely. That head clash might have won the fight for Usman, it gave him the time to recover enough to lean on his wrestling for that last round and a half, and even then he didn't do much damage or threaten subs so I think he's got away with that one. Very competitive fight.

Feel sick for Paul Hughes.

I thought he edged it. Showed phenomenal wrestling and heart as always. Genuinely think Usman was looking for a way out at one point. That's going to be a hard one to take.

He needs to push for a rematch. Inexperience cost him the fight in my opinion.

Lost composure at the most important point of the fight and got taken down way too easily. If he kept the fight standing, he wins.

He deserves it. Yeah, he definitely lost a bit of concentration for a moment and it cost him with that takedown.

Seen Usman said Hughes will need two, three or four fights before a rematch. That's a man who knows he's met his match. Hughes will take the rematch.
