211 looks amazing, especially the main card... not a single dud on there. Alvarez looks bruised up from the McGregor beating in his head shot next to Poirier

I don't even know which fight I'm looking forward to most

On a side note, I liked Artem on the TUF but jeez the guy is a bum
Artem was completely outclassed after the first 5 minutes but going around acting like he won because he wasn't stopped

That TUF was always a bit skewed. The European team had an advantage being that more top American fighters would be signed up to big organisations already. The American team was full of shite really with the exception of 1 or maybe 2 fighters.

Anyone watching TUF? I don't but seen some articles on mma fighting website, and TAM come across as idiots and bullies. Hope Killashaw smashes Cody, that arrogant little toerag.

Don't particularly like either tbh, they both come across as dicks and it's a battle of who's worst than the other.

Personally think Cody wins that fight. I'm still not completely convinced on Dillashaw being as great as some claim and Cody shocked me with his performance in the Cruz fight. Should be an absolutely brilliant fight though.

And raging al doesn't get the 50k bonus so tweets the UFC and tells their company to go feck themselves

He'll probably get fined for jumping the fence too

Doubt he'd come back...
Well, he's right, it's a fecking disgrace tbh. He should be paid a lot more than he does. Tremendous fighter.

We'll see him in Bellator soon.

MMA Hour special with Nate Diaz. Bound to be exciting.

DId you listen to it? I just had it on in the background in work for the last 1hr and a bit and it is quite interesting.

Can't really blame him for not rushing to fight for the UFC he doesn't really need it. I thought the most interesting stuff was how they didn't promote him or anything (i.e. his manager got him on Conan and Jimmy Kimmel shows.)

Whilst the Diaz bros may not be as popular as they think they are Nate was right that the UFC massively lacks stars and he has/had potential to be a huge star especially after that Conor win. It sounds like they didn't take advantage of it at all. What's weird is since the takeover by what is essentially a bunch of agents they'd be better at promoting people than they are.

Yeah heard it on the way to work. Very interesting indeed. The man brilliantly walks on the edge of genius and insanity. Most of what he said though made sense... Ferguson for example calling out Conor and Khabib and then turns to Nate when those fall through... Nate ain't no afterthought!

The winner of TUF 26 will crown the first ever UFC Flyweight Women's Champion.

Fights added to 213 are Cowboy/Lawler, Pettis/Miller and Werdum/Overeem which all join Garbrandt/Dillashaw. Brilliant card so far, maybe another fight to be added as the main event, seems they're targeting Jones/Cormier for 214 instead of this one.

Yeah he has some odd comments definitely but he seems to be aware more than pretty much every one else in the UFC how the whole thing works. He got his money and he can't be used by the UFC the same way other fighters will be.

It is indeed a great card

But I sure am getting worried about the rest of the year now.

These new owners are pissing me off, they should be stacking the summer cards well in advance

And I have no real issue with GSP getting a title shot, but having to wait for possibly as late as October is fecking crazy. Why can't they have Bisping fight now and the winner face GSP later in the year?

Yeah me too, but I'm positive things will go back to normal sooner than later. Everyone can see UFC is going down badly after the sale, not only the fans, but more and more fighters are speaking up about the freak show the UFC has become. (never mind Bellator and other organizations catching up...)

Just let the best fight the best, simple as. This shit is not a personality contest.

I've seen a few writing off JDS which surprises me. Poor loss to Overeem but outside of that his only UFC loses were both to Cain who was regarded as a P4P best at the time when he was healthy. I lean towards Dos Santos personally, has the style to pull it off and has beaten Miocic before. Miocic certainly has the momentum coming in though, I think this one goes the distance in a close fight. Really need to watch the first fight again as it's been a while. Great to see two really likeable guys go in there and fight for the title.

So Jimmie Rivera v Thomas Almedia booked. Gonna be straight fire!

Got Rivera to win easily by decision.

Rivera was so close to a title shot, but after he decided he wouldn't fight Chito vera (fecking up a main event), luck change for this 2 guys. (Dana probably wasn't too happy with Jimmie)

Chito went to london to retire Pickett and got a lot of new fans, also Brian Stann plus other celebrities will help him fund raise for his daughter at fight week.

Rivera on the other hand, hasn't fought and now he is fighting a guy outside the top 10.

lesson learned i hope. (Don't try to jump the line and fast track to a title shot)

edit. Hopefully its a good fight. If Jimmie wins, he might get a title shot anyway, depending on what Cruz gonna do...

For fights like this, when both guys are so close in terms of abilities i usually pick the guy with less distractions on his mind.

JDS just had a baby girl i think, so i doubt he was 100% focused on his camp. Only because of that i pick Miocic.

Last time i picked Overeem over Miocic for the same reason. Wasn't sure how Stipe was gonna react with so many media obligations, being champ for the first time and all... except for that early knockdown, he wasn't really affected by it and eventually defended his belt. My conclusion is that the guy can deal pretty good with pressure.

But yeah, this can go to anyone. Last fight was great. Stipe dominated at the beginning but JDS rallied from behind to get the decision.

And the injury bug hits. Cejudo out with a damaged hand... shame as I was really looking forward to that fight. Hopefully there won't be any more pull outs :nervous:

Looks like the middleweight bollox is finally getting sorted

UFC will now not wait on GSP and make the Romero v Bisping fight. They should try and book Rockhold v Whittaker too for number one contender. Both these should be in June/July

That's what I reckon and I'm pretty much always wrong on them so I'd bet the opposite. Think Stipe finishes JDS inside 2 rounds. Good card though even without the Cejudo fight (out of all of them if 1 had to get cancelled that's the one I'm least fussed about)

I reckon it's a way to get GSP to hurry up basically. Can't see them not making the fight in all honesty.

good news. I was optimistic when Rockhold came out calling for the top fighters to boicot the MW division. We need the big stars of each division to come out and speak up more often. Too bad some of them are quite happy with how the new shit is going.

Bisping vs Romero and Rockhold vs Whittaker should happen now hopefully.

Although, what we do with Mousasi? Maybe feck Rockhold (he hasn't fought since loosing the belt) and make Whittaker vs Mousasi.

Rockhold rematch Weidman?

maybe he is fighting Woodley now?

Yes I'd go for the rematch with Weidman for sure for Mousassi

Woodley's fight is meant to be getting announced this weekend according to Helwani on Twitter the other day. Genuinely wouldn't surprise me if it's Conor, there's no one in his division available to fight.

Final nail in the coffin for Weidman? Gastelum is top 3 for me, and destined for the belt.

He does seem to be taking ridiculously hard fights. He's in need of a tune up fight really. Potentially could go 0-4 it's ridiculous.
