Liz Carmouche (10-5) vs. Katlyn Chookagian (8-0)

Want Alvarez to win, a real tossup though, just got a feeling McGregor is going to catch him. Joanna/Karolina is going to be so damn good. I think we're going to see quite a few decisions on this card.

I feel the same fight for fight except for cowboy to beat gastelum.

I think Eddie can beat McGregor if he goes for the wrestling and dirty boxing tactic but he gets hit way too much and that'll be a problem...

That pre-lim could probably be a main card any other time. In fact, have that pre-lim and put Connor vs Alvarez as headliner and nobody would complain.

I too think Cowboy gonna beat Gastelum. No reason to think he gonna slow down now.

Also i think Conor gonna finish Eddie inside 2 rounds. Alvarez has one of the highest fight IQ out there, he knows exactly what he needs to do, but i think we won't be able to do it. Conor is the master of taking "advantage" of the reach advantage. Eddie gonna be way too far to ever be in position connect a punch like the one took away RDA. His only chance gonna be to put him down against the fence and hopefully grind a decision, while Conor has a bigger chance to put him to sleep at any given time, specially early on the fight.

gonna be a epic night.

He'll need to as Alvarez will murder him if it goes beyond that. He had a hard enough time lasting five rounds with Diaz, so I can't see him managing it against a guy who isn't as vulnerable to leg kicks and will actually be able to take him down.

Its tiring going for takedown after takedown though, plus Eddie is a wrestler and has an average BJJ game, it's not as if he has this deep history of tapping people. Diaz ground game is at a higher level imo.
Conor wins this end of third or in the 4th. Eddie will be tired from his wrestling offence and will start trading with Conor with his sloppy boxing and reach disadvantage.

Pretty much the same as @JP77 except got Woodley to beat Thompson. Card is the best they've done, can't wait for it. Not staying up though will just watch it the next morning I think.

Not seen all the card from the other night as was away and saw the result the next morning. Did catch the RDA fight though and he really is struggling, must be gutted to of lost that McGregor pay day with the chances of it happening again are pretty slim, he's right down the pecking order now.

Rashad pulled from 205 didn't pass the medical to NY Athletic Comission's standard it seems. What a shame that is, I wonder who will step up if anyone. Come on Bisping

Feckin Helwani cursed it by saying how great it was that the card stuck together on his show

Was looking forward to the Evans fight

On paper this is the best UFC card ever. Three awesome title fights with a strong undercard and good prelims too. Can't wait for this!

205 is tomorrow night, or sunday morning, European time, right?
I sat up drinking beer after nightshift at work two weeks ago, waiting for it to start... fecking annoying, was really sleepy :)

It starts early Sunday morning (the prelims 1am, main card 3am.) If you struggled in the past doing it I'd just watch it in the morning. This one will be a longer event.

I didn't struggle, i was just sitting up waiting for the event the wrong day :)
I get off work at 2am UK time, so will be home in tme for main card then.
Think i remember there being some decent fights in the prelims aswell, i will go check it out.

Feck these crying journos about Conor being late.
Sorry you have to ask other fighters fecking questions.
I'd say this is a ploy by Dana to get others airtime before the circus

Eddie didn't like the antics then first time he looked a little rattled by it all, McGregor bit with the chair though

JJ putting the head push on Karolina at the face off, that's going to be a cracking fight.

Haha fair enough, explains why you missed it then! Yeah it's Sunday early AM you'd prob catch some of prelims if finish at that time as well.

I hope Conor and Joanna get their faces smashed in. Most unlikeable fighters I've ever seen.

Joanna seems to have a touch of the Rousey's about her to me when she fought Holm. Going for the head push and then shouting "She talks to much" about Karolina who has literally said nothing offensive about her at all...in the build up she even said Joanna was her idol etc. A lot of it is to sell the fight but it was just odd, realistically it won't add any numbers to the PPV viewing figures. In McGregor and Alvarez's defence they were both calm in the stare off, the best bit was Dana shitting himself and kicking himself for fecking up with the Joanna and Karolina one.

Set to be an interesting night though, am really looking forward to it. All 6 of them on stage seem up for the night.

Unfortunately missed most of the press conference but will try and catch it on Youtube but his Jacket was ridiculous . I think this is the most excited I have been for a sporting event in a long time. I really want to see McGregor win and become two weight champion.

So who thinks he will win?
Also what will his "left field" announcement be post fight? I think taking time off wouldn't be left field and I keep thinking he will announce McGregor vs Mayweather as stupid as that may sound. If that is the case do you think a defeat to Alvarez would damage any future plans?

Eddie was too emotional, he also looks to be having a rough weight cut.
Lol at that staged chair nonsense, glad it was called out.

What makes you think Karolina has a chance? I'm frightened for her tbh, as I would be anyone who has to face someone with Joanna's striking and control of distance. Those front snap kicks are awesome as are her general MT skills.

I think he'll win. I think he has a point re Eddie getting hit to much. The Cerrone fight is an example and it's a style Conor can fight like. I think it finishes within the first 2 rounds.

Re the announcement I don't know what it is, the rumour is his missus is pregnant and she looks it in the Embedded and Mac Life stuff (especially compared to the fact she usually looks very good.) Of course Eddie implied his missus is pregnant and he also has gotten another woman pregnant but I doubt McGregor will be announcing that one.

Yeah Karolina does get hit a lot and she's a really slow starter too. Rose caught her good a lot of times in her previous fight, can't afford to do that against Joanna.

Yea for sure it could be his girlfriend being pregnant but it is being hyped up as being something huge. Dana alluded to it being out of the left field and I can't fathom how a pregnancy would be that. Unless they are hyping the announcement to sell PPVs only for it to disappoint?

I don't think she will win but the output and cardio is something that can't be denied, she reminds me of Miesha Tate a bit. She's not the fastest or strongest but will get lit up and keep coming for more. That's why she has got in to a title shot.
