The MMA thread

This is perhaps a time when we question SBG

What is the game plan here? He looked accepting to go to the gound in both rounds which is stupid against Maia

Nelson has basically just defended

That's pretty much game over for Gunni right there. Maia has too much control over him.

"Ireland vs. Brazil"

And that's a fact mazhar. Fair few scraps between Brazilians and Irish lads around Gort tonight. Fecking right one outside Supermacs there a while ago. The Brazilian kept trying to take Paidin O Raifeartaigh down to the ground but Paidin's defences were on the ball and he clipped him with a lovely haymaker at the bin outside News n' Choose and it was curtains for your man.

It was a horrible fight for Nelson

As soon as it was announced I feared this would happen. But I expected him to try somthing different

I'm exhausted just watching that fight. If nothing else, Gunnar can take one hell of a beating!

That laugh was in reference to Gunni vs. Maia, not the co-main event.

Today's loss clearly affected him. Top R€d is Gunner

I fear for McGregor so :nervous:

Aldo thankfully prefers to stand

Maia on the other hand never stands and has no standup skills at all. Which is why this fight as really awful for Nelson who is not on the same level

Mcgregor is getting battered into oblivion later I think. If Aldo is the same guy he's always been, Conor will need new legs tomorrow.

We'll have a better idea how it'll fair out when we see what way he looks when he gets into the cage. If he looks like the lad that got into the cage with Mendes a lad that looked like he was knocking on deaths door well then Aldo will take him handy enough.

Who's this chap in the ring now? He appears to be built like a brick shíthouse but can do Nani flips and the splits.

Yeah I've a bad feeling

And this. He's already looked scared in the build up and hasn't been his usual self at all

Yoel Romero and Jacare are one of the most accomplished outside of MMA in MMA. Did I confuse you?

This looks close to me, but I feel like Jacare's better wrestling and jiu-jitsu can leave him better off. However, if Romero unsettles Jacare with one powerful strike, then he can get a win here, but I feel like Jacare's the favourite for this encounter.

Somebody should have thrown Gunni a rape whistle to defend himself ffs, he's just too small and should drop down.
Let's go Romero!
