This could actually turn out to be a good thing for Paige. Better to go through this now vs Rose than be locked in the cage with Joanna before she is ready. She has years on her side and she'll need them to work on technique but she has great heart.

There it is. Easiest underdog money ever made

PVZ has gone up in my estimations though she could have tapped so much earlier and many would. Good job ladies. Rose looked great.

Two hype trains derailed today, let's hope Aldo stops the next one

Sage is only a kid who will only get better and better, Page is young and will improve and showed great heart while being outclassed.

Conor is completely legit too and losing to the P4P number 1 won't change anything. He has knocked out the vast majority of his opponents and has already lost twice anyway. He has beaten the number 2 featherweight with a TKO in the 2nd round. I suppose everyone who has lost to Jose is just a derailed hype train too? The problem with combat sports is idiotic statements like these being common place. What happens if Jose loses, is suddenly overrated too?

I can only think that our 06-09 team was a hype job too considering we got very derailed by Barcelona. Ridiculous.

You'd have people saying it. Like those who believe he pulled out because he was scared of Conor, as if no one else has ever had to pull out of a fight with an injury before. I fully agree with you. The only hype train that got really annoying was Ronda's but she helped bring that upon herself with her talk and attitude. Conor is a legitimately top fighter who talks a good game and is entertaining, whether he can take that all the way we'll see but he's generated great excitement for the division and deserves the big payday for it.

Oh come on, UFC hype machine was working overtime on those 2.

Paige and who else ?

Paige & Sage. McGregor has at least proved he's a very good fighter and most of the hype surrounding him has been created by himself.

P&S haven't done anything yet, and the UFC was already starting to shove them down our throats. It's just funny to see Dana's new projects getting derailed. No disrespect to the fighters, I'm sure they'll have decent careers.

Didn't Northcutt win ? He's still only 19 and will surely improve with our without the artificial hype. Looks a solid fighter for his age.

Unfortunately there has been an MMA death, no not caused by the fighting in the octagon, but by the weight cut. What a tragic state of affairs. How ridiculous it is that two fighters who weigh roughly the same anyway, dehydrate their bodies to dangerous levels just so they can officially compete at a lower weight and then hydrate back up to their natural weight and fight each other. There has to be a better way.

Yang Jian Bing was set to compete at ONE Championship 35 against Geje Eustaquio in a flyweight contest before that bout was cancelled on Thursday. ONE Championship noted via release following the weigh-ins that bout had been cancelled "due to Yang's severe dehydration from attempting to make weight. Yang Jian Bing has suffered from dehydration and suspected heat stroke. He has been transported to the hospital where he is undergoing intensive rehydration treatment."

The news took a turn for the worse on Friday when Bing, 21, ultimately died from the complications of his weight cut. ONE Championship released a statement following Bing's tragic passing:

"The ONE Championship (ONE) family suffered a tragic loss when Chinese flyweight Yang Jian Bing passed away on 11 December 2015 at 12.06 PM due to cardiopulmonary failure. The formal hospital medical reports and procedures are still being carried out. He was 21 years old.

Yang, a native of China was hospitalized at the San Juan De Dios Hospital in Pasay, Philippines, after a sudden collapse on the morning of 10 December 2015.

At the hospital, Yang received the best medical care possible while ONE officials continuously updated his family directly from his hospital bedside.

CEO of ONE Championship, Victor Cui said, 'There is nothing more profoundly tragic and sad than when a member of the ONE Championship family, current or past, passes away. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of Yang Jian Bing. We will work closely with the family and offer all the support they need in any way we can during this very difficult time.'

Cui added, 'I want to thank all sports fans around the world for their concern, thoughts and prayers. At this time, we appreciate everyone respecting the Yang family's privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.'"

Weight cuts are a common part of the process of fight preparation, but carry significant health risks. Fighters of all amateur and professional levels have experienced complications from botched weight cuts, some of which have paid the price with their life.

The particular circumstances and specific causes of what caused Bing's death have not yet been determined. Bing was a three-time veteran of ONE Championship and held a 5-1-1 professional MMA record.

Weigh-ins the day before as usual, but also add a second weigh-in the day of the fight. The weight-difference between the two weigh-ins should not variate more than a 1 or 2 kilos either up or down from the original weigh-in. so simple.

terrible news... totally avoidable death. ridiculous as you say.

with a guy already dead this week for cutting, i was a bit preoccupied when he first showed up.
He still holds so much weight in his thighs which give him that power of his. But up top he definitely didn't look right.

I'm putting money on Aldo, the P4P best and champ at over evens is too good to miss out on.

People said the same about McGregor before the Mendes fight. He definitely would look better at 155 but he's fine

Funny face off with Aldo stealing Connor's stance.

Basically anything can happen in this fight. Connor needs to not do anything fancy and get caught by one of Aldo's kicks.

McGregor looking a bit skinnier than usual?

To be fair Conor looked just as skinny vs Mendez. I think if he moved up in weight he'd be a lot better conditioned but at the same time he'd lose an advantage he has over most of the rest, which is his power

Aldo looked stressed on the scales but seemed to look much better physically.

McGregor looked relaxed before the stare downs but during the interview with Rogan, he looked and sounded like crap. Really sapped of energy.

I think McGregor will be fine for tommorow but he either has to cut out the weights or move to 155.

I'm hoping I'm wrong but I think thats what will happen
