Mcgregors win over Holloway with one leg is looking even more impressive

Fair play to Comizzi for stepping up, but that was one hell of a pointless fight

Wow

He was done in the first in fairness. Not sure his corner should have allowed him to go out for the 2nd

Then again I can't recall any time a corner has thrown in a towel in mma

Shame for Lyoto. That slip really cost him but Rockhold was so dominant on the ground that the outcome was probably inevitable either way over 5 rounds. Rockhold is absolutely huge I have no idea how he makes 185, same for Weidman. Machida an ex light heavy champ looked two weight classes lower.

Max Holloway put in a great performance too. Featherweight is looking really stacked right now.

I think Rockhold could well beat Weidman - conversely, he could also move up to LHW and make an impact there. He's very cerebral and multifaceted.

Yeah it's definitely possible for him to beat Weidman. Tough one to call. I really want to see Jacare get his long overdue shot as time is not on his side but it's hard to deny Rockhold after that performance.

Middleweight is shaping up as the most interesting division at the moment. Souza has only lost once since 2009, although that one loss was to Rockhold a few years back, and probably deserves a shot at the title. Maybe he should fight Rockhold next and the winner should get a go at Weidman.

No doubt we're all delighted Paige Vanzant won right?

No comments on Paige VanZant? i think that was the most erotic fight ive seen in my life

Not only a sexy beast, but quite strong and mean.

ps. Holloway is so good... with each fight he looks better and improved. Featherweight division is looking great. Aldo, Mendes, Edgar, McGregor, Holloway... too much quality.

ps2. Rockhold is too good. A shame really the way Lyoto lost the fight, but what the feck can you do against a much bigger and stronger opponent, reaching his prime, who can also fight pretty good, right?

i wonder what's next for Lyoto... i cant see him able to test the top contenders of the division anymore. :(

Many blokes will have been happy to see that fight take place so much on the ground. Paige has extraordinarily cardio but is still very raw and sloppy. Lots of potential though and will surely come on leaps and bounds under Faber. She needs to be looked after though, if they throw her in against JJ too quickly she will get seriously and brutally mauled, in fact she'd probably even reconsider her career afterwards.

Vanzant was very impressive, I thought she was going to get mauled.

A couple more wins and she can jump ship to the WWE to have a "battle of the Paiges".

Also, Max Holloway is the name of an electrician from Cheam, not a top martial artist from Hawaii.

Paige VanZant vs Herrig, I'm gonna have to download this in 1080p.

Seriously impressive from Rockhold. Machida's corner should not have let him come out for the second round.

I thought Lyoto was going to well...Lyoto had him in the first 30 seconds. Once that was done, it was Rockhold all the way. Feel a bit bad for Lyoto as he seems to be a bit over the hill.

So the injunction against Rampage has been reversed and he is back on the 186 card. Certainly helps it out a bit. Now it's just a mediocre ppv as opposed to one of the worst in years. Of course with it being on BT Sport in the UK it's no different to any other card for us anyway so it is still a pretty good'un compared to your average Fight Night.

How long has the BT deal got left as now there is a UK spike TV I imagine they will be interested as may sky?

I'm watching. Toggling back and forth between UFC and the Klitschko fight coverage.

Hope Bisping gets hammered. Rampage and Mighty Mouse to win.

I'm guessing Thomas Almeida is one to watch

Looking at his wiki page, although only 2 UFC fights he is 18-0 and has finished 17 of those

Feck off Joe Rogan and your "Mighty Mouse is the P4P best in the world". Boring sod. Can't believe I'm watching this as 5:30am.

EDIT: Did he just now say he's the best ever!? What ever you're smoking, Joe, stop.

I am plastered drunk, but it still seemed like quite a damp squib night of fights. Fair play to Horiguchi though, I thought the kid put up about as fair a fight as could reasonably be expected. A few more years and he could be a legitimate threat.

Mighty Mouse is fantastic technically, it can't be denied. Rogan has to build him up to try and draw interest in the division because people really struggle to get excited by the pseudo-midget division. Still though Demetrious really is excellent technically.

The main fight was quite good. The Rampage and Bisping fights were a bit disappointing for me. I think 187 will be much better.

Glad Bisping got the nod. Left hooks aside he was on top for most of the fight throughout each round. High pace, accurate volume punching and while he did get caught and dropped, he also rocked Dolloway 2 or 3 times at least.

Can't help but think there's underlying evidence that his surges toward the title are done though. TRT fighters each time he got close after the Hendo fight. Real shame for him.

The event wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Prelims were good and first 3 fights on the main card were all good fights. Really enjoyed Bisping v CB

Rampage fight was awful and DJ predictably dominated. Capped it off with a really great finish.

Thought Bisping lost that.

Really? Thought he won it quite clearly. Actually think there's an argument to be made that he didn't even lose round one. Bisping dominated that round, got caught towards the end and based on that moment alone the rounds awarded to CB, which is bullshit IMO. Bisping controlled that opening round and even when he got caught and dropped he didn't look hurt, recovered and then finished the round by teeing off on CB. Good fight I thought, clear win for Bisping though for me.

My attention may have drifted at times as I was watching the Klitschko fight at the same time, but when I was watching I distinctly recall Bisping getting dropped in one round and taken down in another. He must've been utterly dominant when I wasn't paying attention to win that.
