I did not realise Mendes was THAT good. I thought Lamas would put up a fight. The first punch Mendes landed was basically the end of the fight.

Mendes v McGregor would be a good fight after Aldo.
Win or lose I mean. McGregor needs to find Mendes next, although I'm sure Mendes will want Aldo again.
I would presume that the winner of Edgar and Faber gets the winner of Aldo and McGregor, which I would then guess it'll be Aldo v Edgar. So Mendes could get McGregor then. Mendes isn't getting a third shot out of Aldo again so quickly.
Big gap between Aldo, Mendes and Edgar and the rest. I hope McGregor fits into that elite category

Its definitely a massive fight for McGregor since this is his first top opponent. If he loses, his trash talk will make him seem like he wasn't nearly as good as many thought.
I don't like Mendes for some reason, he has a huge body as well compared to his legs I have the impression.
One thing about him is he seems to do quite well despite being nearly always at a reach disadvantage. If he fought McGregor the reach advantage would be massive for Connor, but somehow Mendes seems to thrive on that sort of thing.
He's very strong and he can take a punch but the way he fights doesn't look great in all fairness, not a very attractive fighting style but that's all down to personal taste I suppose.
Aldo, Mendes, Edgar and McGregor really are on a different level to anyone else in the featherweight division.

Ok, so after watching the whole embedded Aldo vs McGregor world tour, I hope Aldo destroys McGregor.

It's all an act though so it's hard to attribute it too him personally. He has even stated that his plan is to make as much money as possible in a short time and then retire. He's a smart man and he's making the most of it at the moment.
I know it's an act and he probably doesn't act like this most of the time but you don't see many other fighters doing the same.
It's funny how people in here always try to defend his actions by saying he's doing it to promote the fight.

I know, mate. It's also a bit strange when Nick Diaz is one of my favorite fighters and he's even more disrespectful than McGregor is most of the time. I don't know what it is about McGregor but there's something that wants me to see him get put in his place. it's not that I really dislike him either, as he's obviously a great fighter that knows what he's doing. But the same happened to me when Diaz fought Condit. When I see an overly cocky fighter talking trash and doing other shit, there's something that makes me root for the other more quiet, humble fighter. If the guy wasn't Irish, most of you would be saying the same thing, trust me.
And that's completely normal. If there was some spanish fighter who was a rising star like McGregor, me too would probably try to defend his actions. So I understand that you do, just don't expect others to do so too! Because he is being this cocky, disrespectful cnut against his opponent. And sure, it hypes up the fight massively but don't think the majority of people outside of Ireland will root for McGregor because of this. I don't believe that's his aim either.
About flipping the finger, he went to touch gloves first but Siver refused and that's when McGregor flipped him the bird. I didn't like it at the time as I thought it was unnecessary and disrespectful but refusing to touch gloves is disrespectful too.
He'd probably get some massive support in America & Canada too, wouldn't he? If only from the huge amount of people who claim Irish descent.
He'd get moderate support in those places - nothing out of the ordinary. I think a lot of people are getting fed up with his Muhammad Ali circa 1966 trash talk and wouldn't mind seeing Aldo put him in his place.
