Diaz has much better boxing than Shields so I don't see GSP jabbing his way to another UD. Diaz is a scrappy fighter and it makes him dangerous. GSP will look to take it to the floor, Diaz has a great guard so I think he could pull off a sub at some point. GSP will probably dominate though as he normally does

Diaz hasn't fought a wrestler since 2006. That's the biggest question mark. If he couldn't submit Sanchez or Sherk then i can't imagine him submitting GSP

Carwin v Dos Santos then.

About as close to a certainty as you can get to being an explosive fight. Shame about the rest of the card.

I'm 50/50 on this. If it gets out the 1st round though I take Dos Santos.

Not an awful lot in the last 2 events or tonight to get excited about.

JOS will win in the 2nd round when Carwin becomes exhausted

Preliminary card
Middleweight bout: Jesse Bongfeldt vs. Chris Weidman
Lightweight bout: Sam Stout vs. Yves Edwards

Main card
Lightweight bout: Donald Cerrone vs. Vagner Rocha
Heavyweight bout: Jon Olav Einemo vs. Dave Herman
Middleweight bout: Demian Maia vs. Mark Muñoz
Featherweight bout: Kenny Florian vs. Diego Nunes
Heavyweight bout: Junior dos Santos vs. Shane Carwin

Havent even heard of a couple of these guys so basing those predictions on recent form

JDS absolutely battered the piss out of carwin. It was so impressive. Florian looked ok, I don't see anything that Jose aldo need worry about. The other heavyweight fight was great aswell, no technique but a sloppy brawl is fine with me. That Sam stout knockout was scary I thought Edwards was dead

Yeah. Cred to Herb Dean who didn't stop the fight in the first round, didn't see any 'intelligent defending' from Carwin by the end of the first round.

I'm surprised he didn't stop it to be honest. Carwin was getting completely battered towards the end of the first round/

Some cheeky cnut uploaded a whole load of fake torrents, of each individual fight, with the result spoilered on each one. The authorities agreed that this is cunning way to combat downloaders, when I reported this to them. Be careful out there, folks.

Finding it hard to find one without going near any place that might possibly have the results. I even started 2 pages back in this thread and snuck up so it wouldn't be emblazoned across the screen suddenly

Overeem looked like he was about to have a heart attack in his interview after the fight. In my opinion he won 29-28 but it was actually close because Werdum landed more strikes and ended the fight in a position to submit Overeem.

They both had 3 takedowns but Overeem did nothing with his while Werdum got the submission attempt. Overeem won by being in control of the fight the majority of the time, but his lack of conditioning is still a worry

Nate Marquardt was cut by the UFC last night surprisingly enough. Apparently the athletic commission didn't clear him to fight two hours before official weigh-ins, and Dana fired him

Kongo vs Barry is main event tonight, with Story dropping to supporting act against Brenneman, a prelim fighter previously meant to fight Searl's buddy TJ Grant

Lentz got screwed, probably would have lost anyway but what the feck was the ref thinking??

3 crackers out of 3 so far.

Edit: think its going to be a NC

Why was he fired? Can't find anything other than crap rumours.

apparently he failed his medical, but it was a condition he knew about for 6 weeks and chose not to tell, that seems to be the only solid info i can find and i've looked all over the show, Ariel Helwani will find out when he interviews dana after this event.

Dana would be the loudmouth to give all the info away, but I doubt we'll hear about it for another week until the PA commission decide it best to reveal. Or else Nate will admit what happened himself. There's lots of stupid rumours flowing around already, but I'd probably just go with an expired bloodtest. They have to have up to date ones issued to the SC every 6 months. But I don't think it's true that he has a condition that he chose not to divulge, but rather a bureacratic mishap
