Gaming The Legend of Zelda | Earthquake: "It's actually ridiculously good, and keeps getting better." ★★★★★

I'm at a Major Test of Strength shrine, and the only reason I can't beat it is because I don't have enough weapons as they all break before I can kill it. I know I can just come back at a later stage but it's kind of annoying.

Splatoon is sooooo much better once you master them!

*Vomit a bit*
NO!

I dont want to be particularly aware of a controller and while the motion thing has its place with smaller controllers (Metroid Prime)
having to wave around the brick that is the wii u pad just feels very silly
Makes me feel like im doing a bad mime act

Weapon durability and rain are my only two annoyances so far. That feeling when it starts to rain during a marathon climbing session...

I'm sold on weapons breaking, I think its a very clever mechanic. It stops that thing happening in Dark Souls where you spend the entire game collecting dozens of weird and wonderful weapons, but never use any of them because a tiny number of them are so much better than the rest. It also keeps the low grade battles interesting too. In most RPGs, once you've got your Ice Rapier or whatever, every basic enemy becomes a pointless one chop kill. In this game you can't just op your way through standard battles because then you don't have your best weapons for bosses.

Think of em like potions, things you consume to give you a boost in certain situations, rather than collectibles.

Did one of them horrible, terrible, awful gyro puzzles last night.
Ugh, just uuggghhh
Ended up turning my pad back to front so the ball started at the end of the maze (guessing that trick wont work often) but trying to throw it up on the ramp was still a big pain in the ass
I wonder how many hearts / stamina it'd cost to just skip them?

I like weapon durability overall too. Its excessive on weaker weapons and i haven't gotten anything i'm too attached to tbh but it just encourages you to experiment.
Running out of weapons against a boss you've spent 20 mins chipping down is crap though, i kind of wish there was some fall back, blunt stick that never breaks or something

I turned my pad upside down so the ball landed on the flat surface underneath

Done a few of those now and they're a bit of a nightmare.

I punched the air after completing one last night! Took way longer than it should have

I was doing one of those gyro puzzles, and somehow quickly twisted the Switch, launching the ball off the puzzle and it landed in the target. Nothing but net!

, done the same, think I would still be doing it now had it not happened

I wish Zelda would feck off with trying to make me splash out on a console purely for it every 5 years. Literally. This is getting Ocarina levels of hype, and that's insane, even in an era of tons of games getting insane reviews, it's getting even insanier reviews. Madness.

I find taking the joycons out and holding one seperately works well, but yeah on that puzzle I just waiting for the ball to drop and just batted it

It's insanely good!

played the 1st actual temple last night. After putting over 20 hours into it. About time

It was the Zora one and was brilliant

Feck rain and lightening. It happens way too often and I literally have to just leave it on in the background while I wait for the rain to stop during a climbing session.

Lightening was cool the first time, but constantly dropping your equipment and picking it up again gets old quick. Not to mention half the time you can't tell clearly which piece of equipment is the problem.

I'm on the Death Mountain temple now.

The Goron voice acting is horrible. A far cry from the adorable greeting noises they made on OoT.

Absolutely loving this game though

All you need to do is unequip any metal items during lightning storms. You don't need to drop them.

I actually bought a wii u for zelda basically. Hadn't played one since OoT and of the 8 or so games i have i think 4 are zelda games

"Link, Zelda, and Hyrule need your help, desperately, urgently!"

"Bitch can wait, I'm collecting butterflies.... and maybe some lizards."
. I took 2 days off work to play and I've still only scratched the surface. Did the Zora dungeon and was going to head to the next one but keep getting side tracked every time. I've put in about 40 hours and I still have to uncover about 6 areas of the map. It's absolutely massive!

Anyone know how many korok seeds there are? I spent about 2 hours yesterday searching for them at Lake Hylia and found 20 in that area alone and I'm sure I missed loads.

Heard there is over 900.

I've hardly done any of the story, but all the towers and about 60 of the shrines.

I think there's over 600 Korok Seeds.

EDIT: Whoops, as Damien says, over 900.

I've only just got the camera, I'm sooooo bad at getting sidetracked!

So of course the first thing I did was waste about 3hrs tonight just going round taking pictures :(
Don't forget to take a picture of the Master Sword when you see it as once you obtain it you won't be able to take a picture of it for the compendium. You might be able to buy a photo though.

So far I've been taking selfies of weapons, you can equip them then take a picture. Dunno if that works with the Master Sword, I guess I'll find out!

Yes, but why does he have no nipples ffs.

He's been asleep for 100 years in a cold cave. Maybe they just need time to pop back out again!

Or after all this time i've been deceived and he is infact an alien.
