The Culture Wars

This is why you shouldn't engage with people on the transgender issue in sports, 90 per cent of these people are not arguing in good faith. We even have a few on the caf.

A few here on the caf wanted Imane to be a man so badly, just so it could fit into their bullshit agenda. Kinda hilarious to see.

I've learned so many people in family are transphobes this week. It feels like 80 per cent of the UK are.

Employment Judge Robin Postle concluded that the three white officers were directly discriminated by reason of the protected characteristic of race.

Comedian tells Israeli audience members to leave his festival show
Two Israeli audience members were booed out of Reginald D Hunter’s comedy gig at the Edinburgh Fringe after they objected to a joke comparing the Jewish state to an abusive spouse, according to witnesses.

The comedian continued in their absence, recounting that he was once made aware that someone from the Jewish Chronicle would be watching his show for a review. After the show, Hunter said his partner sought out the review, but could not access it online because of a paywall, saying: “Typical f------ Jews, they won’t tell you anything unless you subscribe."

I had assumed this speaking tour was in the US. People (other than Led by Donkeys) are actually going to attend a tour by Liz Truss in the UK?

Former Singapore PM.
In the West, they've got a movement called Wokeness, where you are super sensitive about other people's issues. It leads to very extreme attitudes and social norms, particularly in some academic institutions, universities. You talk about safe spaces, appropriate pronouns. Life becomes very burdensome. And I don't think we want to go into that direction.

that's a wild update for sure

is that graphic legit though? Could easily see some wet-wipe faking it

It could be. NH Carnival is massive. Tens of thousands of people partying over three days. You’re bound to get some bad behaviour. Those stats are trivial in context. Comparing it to a St George’s Day parade is fecking hilarious.

Plus are the drug offences really offences? Let's not forget weed is a class b drug in the UK which is too high (no pun intended)

I think they see close to 2 million people over the weekend. 1m estimated for today.

Those crime numbers are, as you say, trivial.

I have no idea. Is it right?
Guess we'll have to see what comes of the complaint.

A complaint filed with the University of Washington and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon outlines 20 examples of alleged plagiarism in the “White Fragility” author’s dissertation, “Whiteness in Racial Dialogue: A Discourse Analysis.”

Was it channel 5 had Topless Darts? And bouncing dwarves giving the weather forecast in Norwegian? Something like that anyway
I think it was that short-lived LiveTV. They also had the news bunny that looked sad if the story was a mass death or something but was happy and bouncy during a good news story.

Parents concerned about Bay Area school district's approach to ethnic studies

“Certain groups are identified as the oppressor group, and other groups are identified as the oppressed or victims,” he said. “And there’s a kind of grievance or victim focus that doesn’t seem appropriate to me.”
Satterthwaite said she’s heard some parents voice concerns that some students may feel singled-out during class discussions of white, male patriarchy, for example. But she believes teachers will be neutral when presenting the curriculum.
