Are they supposed to be the brightest business minds in the country though? I've never seen it that way, the way I see it if they were the brightest business minds in the country they would already be running their own business. Some of them have right shit jobs before they pass the auditions for the show as well.

That has always been my problem with the programme, the job has never been ambitious enough. Most individuals with any ability would either be in such a position already or would be on a career path towards it without needed to resort to something like this.

Though at least as far as I am aware you actually get a proper job in this Apprentice, on the American programme you would basically be in a promotions role.
