Weird that they didn't show the Hawkeye for itApparently Alcaraz second serve being down 15-40 was out but the ref gave it in. According to Boris Becker that is
I think he's absolutely gassed by nowZverev again just too passive when needed.
Hawk eye showed it outBoris Becker backing up his homeboy is the shocker of the day.
Should be trying to go on the attack and shorten the points then.I think he's absolutely gassed by now

Don't think he is tbh. These two are probably the fittest players on tour, barring Novak.Should be trying to go on the attack and shorten the points then.
Oh that's undeniable. Even at 2-1 up, you never really thought he's going to win this. There's an inevitability about the likes of Tsitspas/Zverev when they're closing in on big wins.Don't think he is tbh. These two are probably the fittest players on tour, barring Novak.
Think it's more a question of the mind than anything else. The backhand is still rock solid for Zverev and he's moving really well, but he's no longer hitting the big forehand as he was earlier, no longer serving as well.
As always with Zverev, the problem is mental.
Genuinely, why do you keep saying this?Expect a ton of tears from the fanboys of the big 3 too
the being there being Rafa, Roger, and Novak? Why would their fans be upset?Think that's a monster relief for Alcaraz... this was the one he clearly wanted the most. Could be a monster here going forward now, there was no need to be going 5 with Sinner and Zverev, he's clearly the superior player to both on clay.

I think the vast majority of tennis fans across the world have wanted Alcaraz to beat Zverev todayGenuinely, why do you keep saying this?
Pretty sure most people around here are Novak/Rafa and Fed fans.
I'm also pretty sure the vast majority are happy Alcaraz won, given everyone is banking on him and Sinner keeping tennis interesting, given the field looks depressing.
Why would a fan of anyone cry over Zverev losing? Maybe his lawyers?Think that's a monster relief for Alcaraz... this was the one he clearly wanted the most. Carlos is way too formidable mentally to ever collapse. He also has an absurdly good 5th set record. Some would collapse after throwing away a 5-2 lead in the third set, but Carlos absolutely smashed Sascha in the last 2 sets.
He also has the skills to back up his strong mentality.Carlos is way too formidable mentally to ever collapse. He also has an absurdly good 5th set record.

The skills are a given but as we've seen with the likes of Tsitsipas, Zverev and many others, just having the skills isn't enough. Tennis is just way too much a mental game.He also has the skills to back up his strong mentality.
I don't think these guys are even close to being as skillful as Alcaraz, the boy is class. The skills are a given but as we've seen with the likes of Tsitsipas, Zverev and many others, just having the skills isn't enough. Tennis is just way too much a mental game.

Edgelord gonna edgelord…?Because it's absolutely true. The toxicity of oddity individual fans has really hurt the spirit of being a tennis fan, though obviously grown the game to absurd levels, and very few of these "fans" actually wanted to Carlos to win unfortunately... look at the reactions in so many places, it's heavily about that hawkeye being out and screwing Zverev
So I just like see it countered. Sorry if this bothers you. Love the sport, not an individual, they'll all retire in the end and all records are there to be broken.
No, it seems he's past that, but one line call he disagreed with and he forgot how to hit a forehand for the rest of the match. Was travelling during the match. Any cheeky little 68 mph serves from Zverev?
That’s an odd thing to say. I’m a huge Federer fan but why would that make my dislike Alcaraz? I’m not seeing the connection between different eras tbh. Do Maradona fans dislike Mbappe or something?Think that's a monster relief for Alcaraz... this was the one he clearly wanted the most. At the age of 21 - his feats are already absurd. I do hope we get another talent of around / close to his level to create another rivalry for the ages (Sinner?) but I don’t know if men’s tennis has had such an early bloomer since Borg? Phenomenal. What I like is that he’s an aggressive player too and not a baseline slogger.3-0 in grand slam finals now. Dude is a stud
