Ten Hag sacked | Ruud appointed Interim Manager

Give it to a European goal-scoring United legend til the end of the season.

Utd have to get their next manager right, no giving it to ruud because he won a couple of games, no short term choices, if it takes waiting until next season for someone like amorim, hopefully we go for that rather than picking someone who is available now.
Without doubt, happily let Ruud go until the end of the season provided we get the right man in to takeover.

I think that was expected as he's had every opportunity and this has just gotten worse. Should have been done at the last international break, but eh.

Cheers for the trophies ETH but a long time coming. Should have been after the Cup Final. Xavi or Nagelsmann next for me.
Really he should have been sacked after the champions league exit last season.

The cup won just made it more tolerable but he never should have been in charge at that stage

Hes a United hating corrupt w anchor but perverse logic dictates we really do owe Michael Oliver one here...........................

Keep seeing this said but does it make any difference really? Most of players away with their countries, others probably take some time off so you're working with a patchwork of a squad with youth team brought in to make up the numbers. Ruud is the interim and knows them all as well as he could do anyway
Guess you're right.. didn't think about RVN being the interim when I posted as well.

Damn, I thought it would be November at the earliest. I hope we wait for the right manager if he's not available at this point in time, and go with an interim instead of rushing a decision.
Nah, we need stability to push up the league. They have had months to sort out who they want and line them up. Ashworth should have decent contacts too.

Finally, nothing against the guy and wish him nothing but success in the future but it’s been very clear for a while that it wasn’t working and it was unlikely that would ever change.

Everyone saying Xavi and he was shit at Barca. No secret that the players have been praising Hansi Flick due to the massive improvement in training, organisation, and tactics.

The fact is that there is nobody out there that is the right fit for United. And that's because the club is a mess.

It was time for him to go, couldn’t adapt his tactics and after two and a bit seasons still hadn’t implemented a style, despite 600 million in transfers, whether they were his players or not it’s not good enough.

Appreciate both cup final wins and wish him all the best in his career.

It has basically written off our season in October, not sure what manager we can get now and will probably have to wait until the end of the season.

Knowing our current luck we will end up with Potter/Southgate/Frank rather than Hoeness/Amorin.

Ye hansi Flick as shown him right up. And also proved that you can come straight into a job and get them playing well. Even with a young team he battered Madrid and Barca in 2 games

Somewhat fitting that Michael Oliver was the straw that broke the camel's back.

On SkyBet it’s the other way round

RvN
Amorim
Southgate

Top 3

Can’t see it being RvN - So hoping Amorim is the choice
Amorim the standout in that list. But I can see him replacing pep at city. We need to think outside the box like Brighton do. There are so many managers and some who deserve a shot. The Stuttgart manager should be on the list.

Best of luck to him in the future , the FA cup run last season was special and thank you for that.

But Man Utd need to be challenging for titles and we were no where near that. A change had to happen.

It's not just the manager that needed changing. Hopefully whoever replaces him is equipped to make those necessary changes as well.
