Yeah I ended up selling pretty much all my vehicles for the yacht. The customised Sultan is great for going up mountains and stuff though

You should try and do the VIP work this week - they are paying double until the 11th. You can do a few of them solo in an invite only lobby as well. You usually need $1m in the bank to be a VIP, but this week they have also cut that down to $500k. I think I have made $1m since Friday - and I haven't really been online very much.
My mate and I have recently started playing GTA online and I'm really struggling with how to get into missions. It seems incredibly difficult to start anything except races and there are very few opportunities to play co-op. I'm sure that we're missing something, but it's getting a bit annoying now.
Also, we've both had a couple of cutscenes where missions have started involving NPCs. Are those just solo missions, to be completed without any other players?

What level are you? As you go up in level you'll unlock various missions and stuff. Can't remember the cutscene stuff but I've not had a fresh character in ages... @Zarlak?
I'm almost at level 7 at the moment, I think. Do the missions/availability of missions change as you move up through the levels?
As you go up in level you'll have access to more missions from a variety of contacts and you get access to heists at level 12 I think

The main thing with missions, or any type of job (which is what they group races, deathmatches, missions, etc together under) is that you can either choose to join, in which case it will lump you in with the next available mode (you can choose to quick join races, or missions etc), or you can host it, which means you can select which one you do, and then either do it with your mate, or invite randoms. That was a ridiculously long sentence - apologies for that. Some missions have a minimum number of people, whereas others can be done with between 1 and 4 people (there are also some 6 and 8 player missions, but not many).
Easiest thing to do will be to join when there is a few of us on. I should be on in about an hours or so this eve.

People are speculating that this could be a Las Vegas style map add-on - not sure if it would be an actual expansion to the map, or a development of an area (think Palomino is on the East part of the map - not much there at all right now). Caligula's is probably a play on Ceaser's Casino - so could fit.
No word on whether this would subsequently apply to GTA Online - if it is paid DLC, then it wouldn't be available to anyone online who hadn't bought it.

58 new story missions, new area etc would suggest it's a hefty expansion. Too bad it's most likely a fake.

Apparently the content was taken from a conversation in a mod area of gta forums that non-mods can't access. Any mention / repost of it since has been deleted by the mods.
So it seems strange at the least.
If the map was to be updated, than a Las Vegas area certainly fits - and it is probably more likely for them to develop an existing area, than create an entirely new island.
