would be better if we could get 2 teams of 4 working on the heists then, last night after I got kicked offline I couldn't get back into heists because it was full

Agree - although it's not always easy finding 8 people unfortunately.

If people are looking to get cash, then this week is the time to do it. The heist will take about 2-3 hours and will net you at least $700k (more if you are the host). Especially since you don't lose any cash when you get shot on the heist finale - so if someone does die on the getaway, then you can simply restart from the bikes with no penalty.

So looks likes @Marksy7 @One Night Only myself and possibly @Levo will be good for the heist tonight - can we get 4 more?

I'll be around. With the time difference issues with Jev for Rocket League, we might need you and Sol to be on that fairly early if possible. Depends when/if Jev can come on and what Sol's availability is like.

So @Levo @Big-Red @DatIrishFella ...

Up for trying the Elite challenge on the Pacific Standard? Apparently it's one of the easier ones to do within the time - and the bonus for doing it is doubled as well (so will be an extra $200k this week).

Pacific Standard

Objectives:

-All four players must be inside the Dinghy in under 10:15

-Avoid NOOSE involvement

-Do not die

Apartment: Eclipse Towers or Integrity Way

Vehicle: Akuma motorcycle (fully modded)

Outfit: Heavy vest

Choose Eclipse Towers for your starting location. Although the drive at the beginning is short, use akuma motorcycles to save as much time as possible. The first person to arrive should trigger the yellow marker, while the other 3 go directly to the bank entrance.

Crowd Control (2 players) - Once inside the bank you are responsible for subduing the security guards. You can pistol whip the two at the entrance, allowing demo to run in and plant the first charge without slowing down. You must keep the intimidation meter high in order to maintain control of the crowd. You can fire your weapons and point your guns at them to do this; do not shoot a hostage or NOOSE might be called, automatically failing the challenge. A few more guards come down the staircase behind the first locked door. Take em out.

Demolition - Once inside the bank immediately plant the first thermal charge. Immediately once this door opens, another locked door must be opened. Finally, a third locked door must be opened behind the vault and directly in front of the money.

Hacker - You must follow the standard hacking protocol used in previous missions and identify the correct letters. You will be able to hack as soon as demo opens the 2nd door.

Hacker and demo collect the money simultaneously. You must grab all the money and the rate at which you pick up the money is the same regardless of difficulty. There are two piles of cash inside the vault; decide with your team which pile of money you will grab. Once you have all the cash run and jump to the bank entrance and meet up with crowd control.

Upon exiting the bank you will see several police cars arrayed around the entrance. You can use rocket launchers to blow up some of these cars if you want, but you can also just ignore them. Move as fast as possible while wearing the heavy vest by jumping and running simultaneously. Do not follow the marked path down the alley. Instead you want to go down the right of the alley, allowing you to activate the markers but avoid most police. Make sure you trigger all the yellow markers or you may be forced to backtrack to prevent failing the mission. Keep running towards the Lectros and get on board. Do not stop to pick up the armor.

Once everyone is on a bike, head towards the boat in the canyon. Do not follow your GPS, as you can go a quicker route. This path is hard to describe, so I recommend watching the video. You can go offroad and drive down a little trench to save time. When you reach the railroad tracks near the Lost trailers, get on them and ride the rail until you reach the creek. Now get down and drive directly to the boat. If you fall off your bike get back on ASAP. As always snacks and armor can be applied instantaneously while in or on a vehicle. Save the KERS boost for any dangerous situations you want to escape quickly, or to get back to speed after falling off. There is no parachute required using this method.

Benchmark Times:

0:40 - Arrive bank entrance

4:05 - Trigger cutscene just prior to leaving bank

5:55 - Get on the Lectro

Would be good to create a bike race for the getaway route - would enable people to practice the route.

i'd be up for that.
Cool. Levo is crazy quick on the bikes so sure he would be good for it.

Using RPGs is the way to go - way quicker than even the minigun (plus you can't jump with the minigun).

Also, the usual downside of trying this is that you lose so much cash because you are shot so much - but that isn't an issue this week. I think the way to deal with the police on the way to the bikes is for the person at the front to shoot ahead of them until they get overtaken, then that person takes over. That should stop one person getting stuck at the back and slowing everyone down.

On the bikes its making sure that you stick together - as it gets much harder to drive through the police if someone has already driven through there and spawned all the police.

I'll be up for it, probably won't be tonight as I'm meant to be going to the cinema.

Just don't slow me down on the bikes! ;)

I joined a random group of Americans/Spanish speaking people yesterday and whizzed through it all no problem. The leader had an apartment right next to the bikes, just blew the bikes up (didn't even go on them) and went over the wall into his apartment to drive to the dinghy.

I've started doing that now, parked a Karuma there. Can't trust randoms to not die on the bikes.

This is the race I created based on the above video:

http://rsg.ms/993da38

I have tried to place the checkpoints so that you can see where you need to head - a couple of sections feature tight turns - which might be slightly annoying in a race, but obviously when you are doing the actual heist getaway, you won't have to be quite so precise.

I would suggest watching the video before doing the race - as you exit one of the railway tunnels, you have to slow down and be on the very left edge of the tunnel so you can drop down 'under' the bridge that would cross the canyon. It's clear in the video, but might not be so clear if you do the race for the first time.

Anyone up for GTA this eve?

The Lectro is now $375k, and the Gang Burrito is only $32.5k!

I'd be tempted into the heist tonight need to make the most of the double RP once I finish the previous heist

I did the elite challenge on Pac Finale 4 times in an hour. I met a few members of the GTA Forum who were taking it in turns to host the finale. They didn't do it the legit way though, all drove under the map to the dinghy.
