They haven't released all the details for the next update, just gave a sample of what's to be included.

Told you, there'll be no casino or mansion

There's no reason why they can't add mansions - and there has apparently been 7 months between each addition of a new property slot - so we are due one.

The Casino could just be a wind-up from day one - but seems v strange to have a big opening soon sign on it if you're not actually going to open it. You could argue that is just R* trying to be funny - but surely they would realise that it would only serve to piss people off?

Doesn't look like there are any additional properties or casino :(

Seems like R* showed everything that was going to be in the update - haven't heard of anything else featuring.

The T20 looks very nice - but the prices are getting kinda silly now. Seems like every new super car is going to be in this bracket.

Bought the BlackFin as well - it looks much better without the roof and is really nice to drive. Sits nicely next to my Stirling, Casco and Monroe.

The T20 is seriously good. Not sure if the top end speed matches the Zentorno or the Osiris, but it sticks to the road like dead horse. Is also by far my favourite looking super car.

The Brawler is ok - really nice to drive off road - very stable and copes with rocks and uneven ground v well. Looks awesome - only issue is the brakes...which appear to have been taken from an ocean liner.

I really need to do the heists at some point.

I'm always up for them - anyone else?

You've done some of them though, right?

I think it's best to play them once before you try for the CM challenge - if you do them in order and with the same crew, then you get $2m in bonus (plus all the cash from the setups and heists themselves). That is the quickest and easiest way to make money.

I'm also up for giving the CM challenge another go - @Damien @One Night Only @NotoriousISSY up for it?

Or @Duffy could join in my place?

I started doing the 1st person with @One Night Only @Damien and @Sampy93 but we've lost momentum on that one. There is no need to do those in order or anything, so those can be done anytime.

Bugger - just saw this on their page:

Wish I had seen this yesterday before I bought the T20!! Works out to a saving of $550k!!! So the price drops from $2.2m to $1.65m

Not too shabby that.

I'm up for heists and the cm challenge @swooshboy . the first person pissed me off in the end, doing the same thing 5 times for 20 mins a pop for it to all end in tears was a bit boring.

Yeah fair enough.

Let's find a couple of others to give the CM a try again - maybe make a start on it over the weekend?

@Damien @Duffy @NotoriousISSY - any two of you up for it?

I'm not a first timer, have done the first. Should be on this weekend and happy to do it if so.

If you have only done the first heist, then I think @One Night Only would class you as a fecking noob...

I think his point is that on some of the later setups and heists, once you have played through them then you are more aware of where the possibilities of dying are so it is easier to plan for them and avoid them.

Ultimately I don't think the CM challenge is actually that hard - you just have to prepare and be careful and cautious. Plus with the combat armour and cars like the Armoured Kuruma or Insurgent, you have a hell of a lot of protection. So definitely get the combat gear before we start. The car is not as vital - as you can always ride with others, but it makes a big difference. I would go with the Kuruma as it is more bullet-proof than the Insurgent - not sure if you have that already?

Let's give it a go this weekend. If we are successful, then you get:
$10m CM challenge bonus
$1m All In Order bonus
$1m Loyalty Bonus
$100k per heist for 1st time completion bonus
All the setup payouts and actual heist takes

If we are unsuccessful, then obviously you don't get the $10m, but you still get all the rest. Obviously Parmo and I would just get the setup and heist payouts whether we are successful or not - but I am fine with that :)

So it's me, @Duffy, @One Night Only and one more...

When starting it, you should start by the 4 of you doing a random heist setup mission - that way the game recognizes you as a group of 4 before you start with the first heist (otherwise there's a chance that it does not register your progress - which kills the bonuses). I would suggest us doing the Prison Break finale (not in 1st person!), as Parmo can host that one right away, plus it can be challenging - so is good practice!

I wont be on till Sunday, stag do all day saturday.

Yeah the CM could be done with a newb tbh, but in First Person it makes it even more difficult, so I think when we do first person we need people who have done the heists and are confident. We could actually do it on easy or whatever, but less reward.

Thats true - the 1st person did make it a lot more difficult. I actually think they should have an even higher bonus for doing the CM challenge in 1st person  Although think it would be impossible, so maybe no need to bother!

I think it would be possible as long as Issy wasn't on the team.

I'm at a wedding Saturday so Sunday may be better for me too.

Possibly tonight, girlfriends not very well so coming home tonight instead of tomorrow. If not tonight then it'll be tomorrow.

Think it's double $ on all races this weekend - apparently this is now live, but will check later.

I think the prices were to encourage people to buy shark cards, yet it has just led to people hacking/modding and handing out free money to a lot of people (on the PS3 at least)

People were doing that long before this update though.

If they really wanted to encourage shark cards, then they would have made the new vehicles considerably better in terms of performance to the existing ones - so people would have to buy one to stay competitive. Although the T20 is superior, it is not a huge difference over the Zentorno - so there isn't the burning need to get it.

I think the gold Luxor works out to around 100 pounds / euros in shark cards. I honestly don't think R* is expecting many people to buy shark cards for that content.

They have said from the outset that they don't want to release paid-for DLC, as it splits the userbase, and that they don't want to create an environment where its pay to win. The revenue they receive from shark cards allows them to their updates and DLC free for all, but people can make money in other ways so they are not essential.

People have been doing it since the game was released, but I have never seen it as bad as it is at the moment - Even if you do heists, it is still going to take time to save $2.2m for the T20. People are going to buy the new cars regardless of performance in my opinion.

If you take away modding, it would take months and months of tedious missions/heists to save for the Luxor. It might be expensive, but I'm pretty sure people will have paid for it out of shark cards. You can also buy them from third parties.

You could always do the CM challenge in a day / 2 days to pay for it :)

I'm actually surprised that the bonus for that is so high.

Was good fun doing a few missions with @Levo over the weekend - had been a while!

We were doing them as they were 'intended' to be completed - so not using the Armoured Kuruma or Pegasus vehicles etc.

Was surprised how much we both died - seemed tougher than either one of us remembered them being

Not sure if people are going to be online on this during the week - but would be good to get 4 of us together and play through some - choosing one initially and then just picking the next from the random mission selection screen.
