Suarez

So what if he doesn't go, but makes an apology & knuckles down in doing the business for us next season. I suppose in your eyes Rodgers will still be a mug & a soft touch for keeping hold of such a disruptive & disrespectful individual.

Well he is cancerous vermin who destroyed the reputation of Kenny Dalglish, as well as making your club a laughing stock, whilst bringing zero on field success. Now he's made Rodgers look like a mug too, having had his arse kissed by him all season. So if he stays and rots your reputation some more, so be it.

But the cards are stacked against you here. A mid-table non-European club with a wantaway player who has a history of going on strike and playing dirty to get what he wants. Up until recently Rodgers' words have been about Suarez being a great person and part of 'the group' (cringe). There's a change in rhetoric now which suggests an inevitable exit.

Oh that would be hilarious, too. We'll start a sweepstakes as to when Suarez will do another Suarez on the field and get himself banned for 10 games. He's the gift that keeps on giving. And so are you, come to think of it.

That doesn't really answer my point about Rodgers handling of the current situation does it ?

Please keep on track, there's a good chap.

Not many people expected Tevez to ever wear a Man City shirt again after his shenanigans a couple of years ago. It surprised most people to see him not only come back, but to give 100% to City's cause.

Stranger things have happened mate. Like I said before, it's a world cup year. I'd imagine Suarez will be more focused on that than playing a few games in the CL. If he feels Liverpool have blocked all the exit doors, it's possible he may take a leaf out of Carlos Tevez's book. Should that happen, I think Rodgers will deserve a lot of credit. Never mind all this bollocks about him playing up to the masses.

They are struggling in qualifying. its not a given that they will make it.

Rodgers could come out of this very well. Whatever anyone thinks he is saying the right things and has the backing of the fans.

Many doubted him, but have changed their minds in the past few weeks.

Whilst we accept Suarez is a nutter, this situation could be the making of our manager.

Time will tell.

Rodgers and Liverpool going back on their word, with all their history and tradition you would think they'd know better.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was Jenkins himself who let out the leaks. He was fecking quick enough to cash the £15 million pound cheque.

Now if Wenger wants to start again at £50 million plus, maybe our club will take him seriously this time, & forget his twat-like first attempt at trying to broker a deal for a world-class player. Then again, they might just tell him to feck off again.

Then Suarez would have made Liverpool his bitch.

That's a massive if right there, but I admire your optimism. One of these days you'll get one of your predictions right, but alas, I doubt this is the time.

Rodgers has merely said what any person with even a passing interest in RAWK melo-scripture would say.

Given his way with words and penchant for parody, give SteveJ 5 minutes and he could've come up with something twice as emotive and clichéd, and had the fans eating out of his hand.

You're the easiest fans in the world to play like a fiddle.

And I suppose 2 weeks ago when he was blowing smoke up Suarez's arse about what a great lad he was, he was saying the right things too.

As I said, you're the easiest fans in the world to play like a fiddle.

It's not exactly difficult to wax lyrical about the Liverpool Way, respect and dignity. If we're giving credit for that, then there's some parody posts in the RAWK thread that need your attention. You'll be welling up and going all weak at the knees.

So is Sturridge going to lead the line as Liverpool's main striker next season? They sold Carroll and not far from selling Suarez.

Yeah we are an emotional lot. Just the thought of a nice parody brings me close to tears.

Aye, that was reprehensible behaviour from Rodgers and Liverpool at the time. Before Swansea even announced that a bid had been made, the media knew of Allen's £15 million release clause.

He's a hypocritical knobhead, is Rodgers, and he should be reminded of it at every opportunity.

Possibly, still hoping for more signings including a striker. Can't really answer until the window shuts.

Well said. Swansea got a good deal out of it.
If the Arse put in another bid that's exactly where they can shove it.

:boring:

Change the record Krafty. You're getting boring now. Expected more from you tbh. Must try harder.

That right there hits the nail on the head.

Even our resident scousers on here who claim to not be rawkites are just the same as they are showing. Suarez has clearly been allowed to think he is bigger than Liverpool FC because them lot let him do as he pleased and no matter what treated him like a hero, especially when he fecked over a real legend in Dalglish and made him look a right prick.

Suarez and LFC are a perfect match. Self important idiots together. I can't for the life of me see why any self respecting gooner would want this pathetic coward at their club either, but there you go.

Bet you he doesn't think that way right now.

The fact that Rodgers and Liverpool would still have him back in the first team proves otherwise.

He knows he can kick up a stink and they still will have to play him if he moves falls through.

Doesn't look like he's going anywhere just yet. He's got August & most of September off anyway. Plenty of time for it to sink in he's not bigger than the club.

He's a key player for us, just in the same way Eric Cantona was for you. Despite a really poor disciplinary record, I seem to recall your manager, & most fans, sticking by the Frenchman after he served a nine month ban for attacking a football supporter.

It's that old hypocrisy thing again.

But you will still have him back. Rodgers and co will do anything to get him to stay and on the field. This training away from the first team is just a load of rubbish. If they fined him a month wages I would be impressed.

It's that old justifying your pathetic behaviour by pointing at others thing again.

It's the Liverpool way.

Henry said: "Players usually want to win. They want to go, generally in any sport, where they can win. That's why I think this particular episode is misguided. We've won more trophies than Arsenal, but I really don't want to get into that."
Oh snap.

You're way too emotional over this. In not presuming to tell you how to feel about all this but the longer it goes on, it doesn't bode well for the squad or the club. If you think Suarez is worth more than 40 million then so be it. But how much would he be worth to the club if he stays another season and behaves like a ass for the sake of it. You may value him higher than 40 but beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.

He's burnt his bridges. If he apologises, knuckles down and gets us that top 4 its still too late. Trust has to be earned and he's shown to be untrustworthy for which many at Anfield have already been burned. I wouldn't swear at him but wouldn't be too fussed if he leaves giving us what we wanted (points and money).

To answer an earlier question, no he would not be considered an legend at Anfield.

Edit: bugger this was in reply to Castia's post from the previous page. :s

Seems John Henry is well fecked off with what has played out, if he sticks to his word it seems Arsene's cheeky bid only served to piss Henry off, making a bit of a mockery of the 'clause'. Suarez's behaviour seems to have made Henry resolute he won't be sold- if a child throws a tantrum do you give in to them and let them have their way? No, of course you don't.

"We have said 'no'. Luis will be a Liverpool player on September 3 [the day after the transfer window closes]."

It looks come September Suarez will be playing with the team mates and in front of the fans he threw under the bus. Nice work.

He did the exact same thing with Manny Ramirez and the Boston Red Sox. Eventually let him go but he was a problem for a while.

It was Kenny who took it upon himself to stand by Suarez, so don't turn it around and we disgraced him in support of a player. Kenny wasn't sacked due to that incident, he was sacked because he was an absolute terrible manager.

Jaysus, rewriting history. He wasn't much worse than your current one. If you think Kenny's stupidity around the Suarez had no effect on the yanks you are really mistaken.

Yeah, because you lot were so quick to do thw right thing weren't you?

As is relevant to the discussion, you were played like a fiddle and put your faith in a man who not only had previous, but was always going to repeat his behaviour. This was inevitable.

So has it all been worth it?

I've been going to the wrong 'sources' for real insider information into not only LFC the club, but also LFC owner's own brains. All insider information is available right here. :)

Really? So what club legend did we disgrace in support of a player?

It's amazing how important you lot still see yourself as. Even more amazing that krafty was bang on and you can't see it. Fiddle.
Dalglish disgraced himself.

Yep, I agree. He's too far gone, the only think Suarez has to play for now is the shop window, that's why he won't huff because if he huffs Madrid or Bayern or whoever else with think feck him, no point signing that whingey little shit. Playing out of his skin paints him as an attractive player to buy.

Yeah, NOW he is too far gone.

As I said earlier, racist abuse? YAWN. Physical abuse? YAWN. Want to move up a level in your career? YWA.

Sorry mate I'm not buying that. I know loads of dippers and not ONE of them went against Suarez during the whole ordeal

this thread serves as a distraction from our own transfer woes doesnt it?

That's because there is no transfer Ramshock. So why waste a good thread that has Luis Suarez in the title? ;)

As I said to Donado a week or so ago. "There are no eggs Don, there isn't even a basket". :D

If Suarez wants a team with recent trophy success then he only has three options in English football. We're out so Swansea or Wigan it is. I think he'd do we'll in the Championship. Lots of players he can nutmeg before winning a corner.
