Suarez

Anything is better than selling him to Arsenal and thus completely burying any hopes we have of top 4.

Can't really see it happening either way. He's not the sort who just puts his head down and plays. He will be a problem and you won't make it with or without him now.

Oh wait, I thought Liverpool had Suarez on a contract with three years remaining?

Saurez having only one option meaning he's going to be sold to Arsenal paints your club in a pitiful light- i.e. he would only for there because you are the only club in for him- similar to Torres and Chelsea.

That said, John Henry has made it crystal clear he won't sell Suarez to Arsenal, it is more beneficial for us to keep him even if he isn't happy here than for us to sell him to the weakest team in the top 4- ie a potential opening for a CL spot.

With the irony being that Liverpool must be even more pitiful - if he's willing to take such a massive shite on your club, the fans and the rest of the idiots and club legends that totally embarrassed themselves supporting him this whole time.

There is only one club in this whole affair who is looking 'pitiful' and embarrassed. And it certainly isn't Arsenal.

No point having £45m in the bank if you can't buy a quality striker though

To be fair there's no point Liverpool having £45m at all, we saw what happened last time they had a stack of cash. They'll probably just go and buy Grant Holt for £30m.

It is pure xenophobia what Liverpool is doing with Suarez. Only because the media commanded by Mr. Ferguson and supported by corrupted FA attacked him all the time, now they are doing the same. Instead of wearing those great T-shirts with his face and show him the support now they are criticizing him. Poor Luis is walking alone.

hehehe

Even if he's rotting in the reserves for us, it's better than him banging in 25 goals for Arsenal.

We may or may not get top 4, but that's our ultimate goal & them signing Suarez would make things multiple times harder.

Is he crying?

Crying.

I've absolutely no sympathy for this cnut. I hope he gets his move but breaks his leg somehow and fails his medical. Rodent.

The way I see this panning out is for Suarez to go back with his tail between his legs when we decide he's not worth £2 above £40m.

I don't think so, I think if wahts reported is true Rodgers is playing right into his hands.

'Left to rot in the reserves'? Its world cup year, Suarez will go either restriction of trade or constructive dismissal for that. And he will win.

Liverpool are bloody good at fecking stuff up if nothing else. Everything they've ever done publicly relating to Suarez has been an error.

Suarez is exactly the type of player who puts his head down and plays, when has he ever huffed or seemed disinterested? Compare Suarez's few months before he wanted to leave and Torres- which one sulked around a pitch and which one gave it all?

I beg to differ.

His final season at Ajax, where he bit a player and that helped him get a transfer away. Dont worry Suarez wont just sulk on the pitch, you'll be entertained with his off the field exploits too

Are these the same Liverpool supporters that were all for signing that Armenian fellow when he went on strike?

I don't know what he is going to do.
Probably hoping like we are that Real Madrid come in with a big bid.

What is clear the club are saying the right things and taking a tough stance.

It needs sorting soon, Brendan and the owners patience might be tested.

I think they are gong to play it tough, rumour that John Henry is on his way to the UK.

You might. But you'd be wrong.

Liverpool isn't a club I have any aversion to in the least, in fact I've been quite supportive and empathetic of their struggles in the past years. However, I think you lost out on a lot of sympathy with the whole Suarez-Evra episode.

I think the major reason I don't want Suareza anywhere near us, aside from his mentality, is the realisation that he's single-handedly made a laughing stock out of a prestigious club.

Imagine this:

Suarez - Real
Bale - Real
Ronaldo - United
Fabregas - United
Rooney - Chelsea
Luiz - Barcelona

No he wont, a manager is perfectly entitled to play who he wants when he wants and place who he wants in the reserves. If the manager feels a player is not in the right place mentally to cope with first team exposure the reserves it is. And who would have trouble believing Suarez is having mental issues?

If my inner Nostradamus is correct would you split a one-way cab fare with me Archie?

How often does he come down?

He visits the UK several times a year, not always during the season.
It's a little naive to just assume this latest trip is to sell Suarez.
Assuming that is the rumours of him coming over are true.

However, your manager, & an awful lot of other Arsenal supporters, are pretty desperate to see him wearing the famous Arsenal shirt. This despite the massive toxic warning that glows like a beacon from this guy. We've received a lot of flak for sticking by Suarez. At least we have some benefit of doubt on our side insofar that we felt a move to a big club, & playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world, would curb his tendencies to self-destruct out there on the pitch. When we signed him from Ajax he had nowhere near the amount of baggage he has now. So us paying £23 million for him didn't seem such a big risk. Compare that to now. Aside from the biting incident at Ajax, he's now accumulated numerous other accolades in becoming the odious cretin most people see him for. Yet Arsene Wenger, & many fellow Gooners, would gladly welcome this prick to your club with open arms.

You're not exactly coming out of this looking too good yourselves you know.

To be honest after what he's doing to Liverpool I can't help but find myself warming to Suarez a little bit

Although he's probably in the wrong here, anything Liverpool or Brenton do in public inevitably turns into a sham so I'm looking forward to the rest of this saga.

Thats a terrible Haiku.

Its really bad that i'm starting to feel sorry for Liverpool. Yesterday i was thinking that if they did make that promise then screw them, theyve really fecked it up. But if Brentden is right and they never did then hope they screw Suarez. What an absolute cnut. Why do arsenal want to be any where near him? he will only do the same to them in two years for madrid
