I can't see the scousers selling him to Arsenal, and I don't think any big clubs from abroad want him, so he'll end up stuck there for a season.

He's a sulky, moaning little twat normally, so he's going to be extra ridiculous this season I reckon. It'll be funny at least.

Also, if the move isn't for the money why doesn't he just hand in a transfer request now instead of threatening to do it at the end of the week if a bid isn't accepted. Trying to hold the club to ransom with those sort of threats, however whether he hands in a request or not Liverpool's stance is still the same, either someone outside of Arsenal stumps up the asking price of he's not for sale.

I can't adequately put into words just how much the whole 'Liverpool way' schtick annoys me. They talk about things that are universal and act as if they are unique to them.

No surprise he managed to talk about how dignified they are again as well. They always shoehorn that in somewhere. Maybe, one day, they might realise that dignified people don't go about slabbering on about how dignified they are all the time. The utter gimps that they are.
 
I feel sorry for Rodgers in all of this, but it makes far more sense to cut him away now and actually get some players who want to be there as opposed to drawing this out 'til the 31st and have no time to replace.

Oh wait, I thought Liverpool had Suarez on a contract with three years remaining?

Saurez having only one option meaning he's going to be sold to Arsenal paints your club in a pitiful light- i.e. he would only for there because you are the only club in for him- similar to Torres and Chelsea.

That said, John Henry has made it crystal clear he won't sell Suarez to Arsenal, it is more beneficial for us to keep him even if he isn't happy here than for us to sell him to the weakest team in the top 4- ie a potential opening for a CL spot.

He will only go if another club come in with an offer, he won't go to Arsenal- it makes zero sense from a Liverpool POV.

Funny if he goes to some Russian club in the CL, that quenches his thirst fr CL football...doesn't it?

Not to Arsenal it doesn't though.

Liverpool are aspiring to get into the champions league places and Arsenal are comfortably the weakest of the top four. Selling their best player to you lot would be catastrophic for them. I think if Chelsea came into the mix they would have him down in London in a flash like, but not Arsenal.

Yeah, 'The Liverpool Way' has pretty much made the club a laughing stock this past year or so, especially with the defending the indefensible and senior management joining the tin foil hat brigade.

I think he'll stay another year/six months and during this time Liverpool will actively pursue interest from potential buyers outside of England.

Contracts become irrelevant when the split has become this seismic.

It's not beneficial to sit on someone whose value will only depreciate given he won't be playing(he's not going to put in any effort) when you could get £45m and get 2 class players in return.

These sagas only ever end one way.

Anyway... humility?! Dignity?! Quite possibly the least dignified club in England over the last few years. Their handling of pretty much everything has been embarrassing. Standing by the lad convicted of racial abuse whilst being totally libellous towards the victim of racial abuse in an official club statement. Anyway, that's all been covered in much depth; we know how oblivious Rodgers is.
 
I doubt Rodgers believes all that Liverpool way shite, but he has to spout off about it to appease their Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime fans who actually believe that they are some special club.
 
People say Liverpool rival Arsenal. They've averaged finishing 10 points behind us for the last five seasons.

United fans claim Arsenal don't rival you lot. You're right. But if we don't rival you, Liverpool clearly don't rival us.
 
It's silly - Liverpool need to catch Everton (who've just had a managerial upgrade) and Spurs (who are about to get £100M to spend) before they worry about Arsenal.

I stopped reading initially when he mentioned dignity the first time. Reading on there I just noticed that he managed to mention it again at the end.

Not just 'dignity' mind, but 'real dignity'. Other people only have some sort of fake dignity obviously, but not them like. Or so they keep saying in every press conference ever. They're obsessed with it. Totally and utterly obsessed with it. Does my head in.
