Anyway, that aside, he's making himself look like a bit of an idiot, he initially blamed the press- now uses press to push his move, the clause he uses as proof for his move turns out to be balls, Rodgers and John Henry have basically said he is not being sold to Arsenal under any circumstances and he is not being sold to any one for any less than £45-50m, so unless a European CL team come in with a bid Luis will most likely be at Anfield next year, he'd needa make sure he doesn't burn all his bridges with the fans (more or less his only allies in World Football outside of Uruguay), or Suarez could be in for a long season.

Suarez needs to sack his agent.Liverpool hold all the cards here, and with Real Madrid after Bale and seemingly Arsenal being the only interested club, they can just keep hold of Suarez for another season and still sell him for a bit next season when other clubs enter the frame.

That's a small amount of posts compared to a lot of other promoted users over the last year or two.
I agree with you Saoirse. He's been seemingly trying his best to burn bridges over the last few months but there might be a bit of a turnaround now the PFA have confirmed Liverpool's interpretation of the clause is correct.

Arsenal will have to up their price a bit and Liverpool will have to lower their ridiculous assessment of him. £45m is a decent compromise and more than he is worth.

Its still retrievable as thing stand. I think Liverpool would hold on to him if they can. The fans didnt give him any grief at Gerrards testimonial. They and the management know he is the only top class player that they can realistically have in the short term.
That said I think its highly likely Suarez will take extreme action now to get out of Liverpool.

I'm not, they're not as desperate for a big signing as Arsenal. I'm guessing that Mourinho would rather not deal with all the baggage Suarez brings, he knows that either this year or next they can afford to go after stars who aren't as objectionable.

Aye but I would prefer him to stay at Liverpool as lets face it they are not title contenders as of yet but I will be slightly concerned if he goes to Arsenal as he will gain you lot a few extra points next season.
Liverpool have stood by him during a racist incident, biting fellow footballers and lets not forget his numerous dickhead moments. I don't think Liverpool can afford to lose a player of Suarez's calibre. They have no Champion's league football to offer and Liverpool isn't the nicest place to live, who could they replace Suarez with?
I think Arsenal have a battle on their hands and Liverpool board will only consider to sell Suarez when they have a replacement signed.
Standard Chartered deals, etc, etc. Despite the abuse on here we are still a huge club.
