Suarez

Decided I don't want to see Suarez at Arsenal. It wouldn't be worth the wonderful RAWK meltdown to have him at a club where he could actually do some serious damage.

Liverpool so dumb  Cavani was bought, we want the same for Suarez. Spurs had a world record bid for Bale? Oh, now Suarez is worth as much as he is.

How is it dumb for a club to want to get as much as they can for a player they don't want to sell?

Extremely dumb when they announce that they want £56 million because someone from the same country was sold for £56 million. Then a couple of weeks later they want £86 million because thats how much Bale is being bid for.

In case Liverpool havent noticed, these were bids for other players. Not Suarez. The only team who bid for Suarez offered £40 million +£1. Thats how much he's worth.

So Brendan is now as deluded as me. Where does that leave Arsenal without a paddle?

What a load of rubbish.
Liverpool player Liverpool place the valuation they choose.
You keep missing the point, they don't want to sell.
They can ask for as much as they like. The valuation is what the club value the player as.

And for the record all Brendan has said is that you can't say Bale is worth twice as much as Suarez.
Where have the club said they want £86 million, quotes please.

The value is how much the buying club wants to pay for the player who will do anything to leave and since its a one horse race, his value is what Arsenal are prepared to pay. If you keep him 1 season you'll definitely get a lot less value than £40 million and you wont get that for him next summer either.

A value is going to differ depending on which club declares it. Suarez's value may be £100m to Liverpool because of the impact on the team if he were to leave, with other targets unobtainable / more expensive than what Arsenal are offering. Arsenal clearly value him less as the impact of not signing him is not as great as the impact of Liverpool losing him.

What Liverpool need to weigh up is what value they can place on an extremely talented player who is already going to miss a fair chunk of the season due to ill-discipline that shows no signs of abating and clearly wants to leave. If his performances drop based on his own lack of happiness, and he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that will just get his head down and crack on if he doesn't get his desired move, then Liverpool will see their own valuation decrease as his importance to the club diminishes.

That's just the Liverpool way of doing things. Link yourselves to other unrelated events.

Like when Suarez was racist, oh Terry only got....

When Suarez bit someone, oh Defoe only got...

About Suarez's behaviour, oh Keane, Cantona, Rooney etc etc

It leaves them with a team that's still better than Liverpool, that's for damned sure.

I kinda feel like Arsenal are our little brother club, so I'd hate to see them get involved with a goblin like Suarez.

In other news, watching Everest try to WUM is like watching Bambi try to walk. Embarrassing effort.

It's not my duty to entertain and inform you muppets with "quality posts." Go read a book or a newspaper(I recommend Thinking, Fast and Slow, it's a good book) . I am post absurd comments to provoke discussions that might otherwise not occur.

It's like modern art. You need to be very well educated to "get it."

Suarez just seems like an idiot to me, he always did and this just confirms it. What legal action does he think he can possibly take? He's under contract, and the only things he can do is hand in a transfer request or if he doesn't want to stay under any circumstance he can buy out his own contract. He doesn't really have any other option.

A player is worth as much as the buying club is willing to offer and the selling club willing to accept.

Just like with any other commodity in life. If Arsenal are silly enough to offer 55 million and Liverpool accept? Then I guess that is how much he's worth.

Suarez is worth £40/45M incl the 33/50% recent fee uplift driven by City/PSG/Monaco.

This just keeps on getting better by the day:lol:

In what way? Nothing has changed has it.
Bid came in, refused, another bid came in, do one....

Arsenal aren't even that much better than us. It's a gap that can be closed.
They haven't won anything for years.

They haven't won a trophy for 8 years, but you've won one league cup in the last 7 years...and they've lost a couple of finals in that time too.

They qualify for the champions league every year, when you haven't been in there for 4 years including this year....
I wouldn't call it crazy for him picking Arsenal.

The closer it gets to the window shutting the more of a stink Suarez is going to make, he doesn't want to be there and we all know what type of person he is. Im expecting extreme action (Tevez style) to be taken from his side if he's still at Liverpool in the last week of the transfer window.
