This could be made into a thread but I always wonder why England's Golden Generation players seem to be terrible managers. Neville, Lampard and now Gerrard. Maybe they were pundits and get protected too much from their media friends so become very self-entitled and cocky.
Because they’re English and English managers as a category are not very good.

Any chance of getting the Liverpool job surely slipping away now.
Unfortunately yes we won’t get the chance to see him ruin them.
Was hoping that Klopp would call a press conference and announce early retirement along the lines of saying “I’ve done everything I can with Liverpool and now it is time to move on”. However they seem to have found their mojo after putting 7 past Rangers.

Horrible bloke. He has no personality yet an arrogant persona for no reason, I’m pretty sure his mum still dresses him and his favourite artist is Phil Collins which tells you everything about the guy. If he didn’t make it in professional footy you’d probably catch him collecting your recycling on a Monday morning.

Overrated player, boring person, feck off.

Arrogant fecker deserves the sack. He cut short Axel's loan just because he was a United player.

Enjoy your retirement.

Was at the game tonight and the Villa fans turned on him quite early. Fulham fans were singing about him being sacked in the morning only when I looked up it was the Villa fans. The Demba Ba song got an outing (again from the Villa fans) as well as the predictable sign on one. Was hoping this would be the game and it turned out better than I even expected - great fun as I’m not a fan of the man in general

Ruled himself out of the running for Liverpool with that showing. I was never convinced that would've worked out anyway.

Straight back to BT for some more weird, uninsightful, grim-faced punditry.

It’s been coming

How long was his contract? 2.5 years? And he’s been there since November 2021?

£4 million a year salary, 1.5 years left on his contract, he’ll get a handsome £6 million departure payment

Oh the tragedy of being sacked in top flight football hay

Him being around the house all day is really going to eat into his wife’s getting-diddled-by-a-drug-dealing-bouncer-called-Pancake time.
