Leandro wasn't controversial enough so @Brwned had to pick Ramos

Criminal that he lasted so long. I had actually completely forgotten he wasn't blocked or I would have made different suggestions
Bonhof and Netto are far from light midfield IMO. Especially given the pool.I was really tempted to play him as a false 9 but it's hard to argue he could play that role in its modern variant. Think he did me a favour by picking him first! At the end of the day he played with 4 other forwards and it's difficult to recreate that environment he excelled in. GodShaveTheQueen has managed to do exactly that, but as a result the midfield looks light compared to his opponent already.
The most impressive thing about Hidegkuti for me is the multiple league title wins up against that ridiculous Honved team with Boszik, Puskás, Kocsis, Czibor and Grosics. Outscored them 3 seasons on the bounce in between the '50 and '54 World Cups, breaking the 90 goal mark in each of those 3 seasons - which at a glance looks like it is the only time any Hungarian team achieved that feat.

Depends on the set up really. GSTQ is flexible in a sense that a lot of his players can play in both counter attacking and possession environment.All-action and great players, but the idea of them controlling the midfield against two superior players (Bremner, Rivera) + another midfielder is pretty far-fetched, IMO. So you're ceding midfield control for attacking power when you choose someone like Hidegkuti, if you play him in the right environment.
Maicon's peak is far too short IMO to consider him better than some of the other full backs mentioned. I'd probably rate Sagnol the highest after that Jorginho, Leandro and then Maicon.Post-peak Maicon.

What about VVD peak? Hangover Jim couldn't resist to ask it. He has a 6 month peak
I think you should probably use some kind of discounting factor, starting from 3 years. Anything under 12 months is x0.7, 1-2 years is x0.8, 2-3 years is x0.9. So someone performing at 10/10 for 1 year is equal to someone at 7/10 for 5 years
About so I'd guess. What about VVD peak? Hangover Jim couldn't resist to ask it. He has a 6 month peak
