Solskjaer's legacy and his future

Improved ? Nothing, but this squad is crap and it is on Ole he wasted 130 on Maguire and AWB who both aren’t good enough then signed Ronaldo because it was Ronaldo when we desperately needed a DM. He thought that a CM of Mctominay and Fred was good enough to go into a season where we were expected to challenge.

Thats was the Glazers and the marketing department.

Complete amateur with no experience in charge of training, team selection, squad harmony, players attitudes etc… for ages….and all of a sudden we are in trouble!

If only someone could have seen it coming.

The fact that he is still defended cause he managed one second place on Liverpool’s off cycle is a joke.

He has set us back years and years.
Thats why we were dominant force under Rangnick, Mourinho and vanGaal.

Stop blaming managers. We know who are to blame.

Ralf Rangnick is not as good as advertised. What has he improved from Ole?Ole left on a low it shouldn't be hard to beat. Does he even have a game where he impressed us with coaching prowess?
What is there to improve from Ole? He got no new signings, only brought one of his coaches, many players already wanted to leave the club before he came, the dressing room was divided, the club made him keep Lingard against his advice, the players didn’t have the fitness levels to play his pressing style so he had to revert to their comfort zone.

He’s not a world beater but he was dealt a very bad hand.

Ole's football heritage.

Losing to Liverpool heavily and not caring one bit and we have some clowns here still defending him.

Mourinho and Van Gaal won trophies. Rangnick inherited Ole’s squad which was already divided and devoid of confidence. A lot of them already had a foot out the door before he even got there.

We had a chance over most of his tenure in these games. Not zero chance. Sorry if that truth doesn't suit you and all the other parrots here
What are you on about? Solskajer is the reason we have Harry feckin Maguire as our captain, that's enough to dignify his sacking. And what tenure? The man signed absolute dross and had us winning feck all, and his parting gift is this squad of chancers, almost all of which aren't fit to wear the shirt.

Ole cant be used as an excuse going forward.

Klopp brought in 15 players and Pep even more in 3 summer windows.

Time to move on and rebuild the squad. We should be signing 6 players in summer 2022,2023 and 2024. Then 3-4 players from the current squad or youth can make up the rest of the squad.

De Gea,Dalot,Jones,Lindelof,Matic,Pogba,Rashford all started tonight.

7 players that Ole didnt bring in and was stuck with. Now Ralf is stuck with them as well.

Oles at fault for signing AWB,Maguire,VDB and Sancho. We need to move these wasters on ASAP and not make the same mistake by keeping players that will never deliever.

That was 2 seasons ago when we did well in these matches.
This season 0-5 Liverpool a practice lose to City and 1-4 to Watford

Was it not literally last season that we got a clean sheet at Anfield and beat them in the cup at home?

Nothing can erase Ole’s history and icon status at the club. But damn did he try to do it himself with 80M Maguire and (even more shockingly) making him captain.

At this point I’m starting to think he did well to avoid relegation with this bunch of players.

Maybe Ole was less the problem than originally thought, and the players moreso.

They’re his players!

His legacy is wasting upwards of £400m in space of 3 years and doing irreparable damage to the squad. The biggest negative of his entire tenure has to be how low standards dropped here. The fact we still have fans in here parading 66pts 3rd placed finish is proof of this.

He hid behind cultural reset for 3 years and avoided any and all questions whenever it came to actually delivering a trophy. Sucking up to this squad so much that none of them respect the new man in Ralf Rangnick, this is his legacy. The fact he said his cultural reboot of a squad is different from one left behind by Mourinho, as they won't ever give up on the shirt and the club is absolutely hilarious.

Ole signed or gave new contracts to 10 of the 13 players we saw tonight.

It's an actual joke the lengths people will go to absolve him of any blame. One of the reasons why he kept asking for time was that he was resetting the culture and pride back to Man Utd. How the players he have signed know what it is to play for the club and not give up. None of his ardent fanboys ever revisit this point, and for good reason. Because, they know it was a lie.

I’ll repeat he got sacked and had the nerve to do a post sack interview. You guys lapped it up.

Why are people still laying into him, he finished 3rd and 2nd in two seasons. Ole had a poor start to the season but Rangnick doing an equally shite job as an interim is not Ole’s fault. He was sacked, it’s over now, you’d think he was still manager the hatred is so strong.

That's Ole's team, the same team that he wasted 300 million on and also had a squad that was filled with discontent which was on ole. Why are we defending the indefensible? Ole, with the help of Ed Woodward has left this club in a mess

Woodward, yes. Ole is no more to blame than Van Gaal or Mourinho then. It’s a low point but watch Ten Hag turn the team into something useful again with good coaching. Ole’s teams played with way more heart than that and got results against Liverpool and City in the past.

Ole spent a fortune and won nothing. He was one of the luckiest managers in the world with fat Frank managing Chelsea and Liverpool injuries. He was a horrendous manager that has managed to put us years behind our rivals.

After watching our last games his legacy is actually growing on me. Impressive what he actually managed to get out of this shitty squad with a dysfunctional system around him and coaching team.

Cultural reset has left us in as bad a shape as I have ever seen.

That's still the most embarrassing moment of the season and this team lost 9-0 to Liverpool on aggregate.

ETH is not going to keep these shit players Ole signed or gave new contracts.

Well bring me a lucky captain ..I would say Ole is unlucky..he missed a trophy after De Gea missed the 11th penalty
We also won against Paris twice , win against City away a few times .. Chelsea HOME and away.. arsenal away.
We were 37 games unbeaten away in the league .. we scored 9 goals ..
It just unraveled this season .. but he is definitely better than Ralf

He will have to keep a load of them. The Glazers wont get rid of them. These are the owners who want to keep Pogba for marketing reasons FFS.

He finished ahead of that same Liverpool team in the league just last season.

They're not all shit though, look at the first goal. A defensive line all over the place. That's not just individuals, that's bad coaching and organisation. 9-10 players are already going to leave and don't be surprised if some of the ones that stay look better in a structured system.

Ole had no say in the new contracts. Can you imagine if he wanted to get rid of Rasford,Pogba,Shaw,Lindelof etc.

He got rid of Fellaini, Lukaku, Sanchez and Smalling in his 1st few months and the middle two cost the club a lot.

Yes, but like other managers probably had no or little say in the renewals. The problem is that this club is run by businessmen, who see the players like assets, rather than their performance. It's the only way to explain handing out contracts to the old boys like candy.

just like the players he bought for us, a fraud as a manager of Manchester United

"we're building something here"

"footballs not all about tactics its about desire and second balls"

Just a couple of my favourites.
