Second that (12) — if everyone agrees. 14 seems over the top, but if anyone was counting on those picks, it would be unfair to them.

Good idea. Maybe 13 if someone has been caught out by not anticipating that rule change, but I for one only need one more player.

14 is definitely excessive.

So long as I'm allowed to take 14 players I'm good. I planned for 14 and my first 11 picks aren't necessarily my starting players.
 
I wouldn’t mind but lets make it at least 13. We have a versatile squad so I’d like us to pick 2 reserves to have options from the bench to alternate through formations.
 
How about those who want to continue picking they can, those who don't can just forfeit their picks? Would everyone be OK with that?

I’ve been planning for 14 picks and would ideally like them. I’m in favour of 2mufc0’s proposal if everyone else is.

I think everybody can agree that it's the best option.
 
But by doing this it will also affect the avg pick time,

Or we calculate averages on the lowest number of picks, e.g if idmanager picked 11 players and Enigma 14 and hypothetically tie a game against eachother, we would take the average of the first 11 picks only and discard Enigma's last 3 pick times? This way the average will be 11 v 11 picks.

I'd say everyone just PM's rest their picks to a neutral. If they want 1 player, they just picks 1. If they want to get to 14, they pick all the rest in one go. Just block overlaps and allot valid picks to the managers.

This seems a lot more work and might take longer to do.

The second solution I posted above is a lot more simple and fair too.

R12 is the last round we record pick times.

As managers make their 12th pick they can add [DONE] at the end of their list.

Those who still want to make 13 or 14 picks follow the snake as usual with no pick time records.

Why? Just stop recording times. Those planning for 14 will have a pretty damn good idea of who they want. It's those who don't that could drag it.
