Still think that Aguero will move to Madrid. However that does look unlikely right now.

This has to have a bearing on the Sneijder links; if they bring in Aguero, can they afford (under FFP) to bid for the Sneijderman?

Under ffp rules they couldn't afford Clichy, so they will ignore that as they've just made 400 million in their dubious sponsor deal. They can afford whoever they want. I just can't see Aquero preffering a move to City over Madrid. If Sanchez has the power to make his team negotiate with the lowest bidders then I'm Aguero can do the same.

Problem is Athletico won't sell to Real no matter what. So Aguero will have to drum up one mighty hissy fit to make that move.

I like Aguero very much, not happy about him going to City, but in the end it looks like they were the only club willing to take on his huge wages.

This is not looking good for anyone else. They might go pretty far in the Champions League as well.

He's not as good as he's hyped to be. Tevez is better.

His ability transcends Tevez imo.

He's shown against the likes of Barcelona just how far his potential stretches.

I think he's going to be a huge success in England barring injury.

He's pretty much got everything Tevez has, plus he's younger.

Yeah but you think everyone City sign has huge potential. Balotelli with his 'unlimited potential' as you once put it.

You get too excited over players sometimes and that clouds your judgement.

Should be a great signing for them. I'm suprised Madrid haven't tried to sign him.

Wonder what the do with Tevez, doubt he'll play 4-4-2.

Unlike Balotelli, Aguero is a very intelligent and mature person, immensely talented and can probably unleash his full potential and abilities if surrounded by world class players. He has shone for Argentina where Messi was quiet just recently.

I don't think he alone can transform City into genuine contenders next season but it is indeed unfortunate that he does not ply his trade for a bigger team.

feckin hell

We could have swapped them Berbatov and £30 mil and still massively improved our squad

Balotelli does, he's only 20 years old.

You're acting like he's failed and he's on his way home or something.

He has the attributes to be a world beater, many people including professionals can see it.

It's just his brain that lets him down.

Whatever about anything else, City are putting together a formidable squad and it's only a matter of time before they start challenging seriously on all fronts. Their attacking options are beginning to look frightful.

If he had went to Arsenal,Chelsea or Liverpool I would have been worried but whenever City sign someone I just end up thinking "Meh". Top player but needs to score more and City isn't exactly a attacking team atm.

Of course he has the bloody talent, 'unlimited potential' is just a load of bollocks though. Stupid phrase.

fair enough, I talk in stupid phrases.

The accusation about me thinking all players City sign having huge potential is wrong though.

Just look at my thread on Dzeko.

Baring injury though, Aguero is going to be a guaranteed success though imo.

We'll see.

Fair enough, I still think he's no better than what they have. He won't better Tevez's goal return.

the money being quoted is ridiculous. £250,000 a week according to the mail. For a 23 year old.

 It just reeks of desperation. "Plllleeaaaaseeee sign for us, we'll pay you lots of money!"

One season, then the "can't settle" shit starts, followed by forcing his way out. Like he has at Atletico.

Except he's been at Atletico for 5 years. I'm quite gutted about him moving to City. He's an exceptional player who is only going to get better. We may not need him at United but if the opportunity to sign him arose, I'd love it if we made a bid.

And? He has still forced his way out.
