Sergio Aguero

yeah, like playing ronnie, tevez, and wazza wasted players.

ffs, that was our best attack since law, best, charlton.

substitute tevez for aguero. wazza is still here. hernandez to gain technical flexibility to play in a front 3 that is interchangeable and its fecking brilliant.

Don't agree with this to be honest. I wouldn't like to see a front 3 of Rooney, Hernandez and Aguero. I can't see it working at all and I don't think Hernandez has the required attributes to play in any position across the front.

£39m isnt that bad a price for one of Europes top young talents, compared to the other prices that have been going around.

Im just not convinced we need another forward however, even if Berbatov leaves I think we would be fine to stick with Rooney, Hernandez, Owen and Welbeck.

I am thinking the same.

Come on FSG, show your mettle. We have a potential Suarez situation here, being able to sign a top player because no one else is in for him.

Auguero, Suarez and Gerrard buzzing around Caroll next season would be awesome.

I think Barca will sign Aguero. Wonder if that means David Villa would become available then?

Why would they sell Villa now? They forced Ibra away to make room for him and they've been chasing him for ages. Rossi will most likely be their forward of choice which leaves Agüero available for other clubs.

Currently we have found a good formation in the 4-5-1 which can be converted into 4-4-2 with ease. Now, how much have people seen of Agüero to share a judgement of which formation(s) he'll excel in and how dependent he is on the players around him?

Chelsea?

Anelka is getting on and wasn't in the best of form for the second half of the EPL season and there seems to be a bit of unrest in the camp with the Torres/Drogba situation, so other than a Italian club going in for him I can see Chelsea probably being best suited for Aguero, offering him a roaming role, which (IMO, but i might be wrong) he prefers.

I can see a Malouda (Sturridge) ---> Torres <---- Aguero working well. This is assuming Anelka and Drogba as backups (or being sold of course).

Madrid can't sign him (as per the Atletico president's statement), Barca don't need him, I can't see how he will best work in our team (drop Hernandez?), ditto Arsenal (and they wont splash 39M), Pool have other areas needing improvement...that leaves Chelsea and Italy as most likely.

But football is a funny game...

Unleashing the inner muppet & spending the 80 million Ronaldo money

-------------------------Van de Gea--------------------

--Valencia----------Rio----------Vidic---------Evra----

--Nani------Tunnicliff/Pogba----Anderson-----A.Sanchez-

------------------Rooney-------Aguero-----------------

Bring it on Barca.
- De Gea (15million)
- Aguero (35 million)
- A.Sanchez (35million)
Total 85 million

Instead of Sanchez, it should be either Sniedjer or Schweni.

Don't forget Valencia at RB with nani in front. There's a strong defence!

What feck that, offer £28m quickly, this lad is the bees fecking knees and would add that 'spark' and 'star' we lost with tevez/ronaldo leaving.

Anything under £35m for Aguero is an absolute steal imo. Already on a par with Tevez and much younger, fantastic player.

Bollocks.

20 mil is not possible.

More like double of that even if he wants to leave.

I think he has a release clause of £38 million, why would they sell him for only £20 million when he is one of the best players in the world and the likes of Madrid, City, Chelsea would pay double that?

From Eurosport France:

'The Red Devils Would Be Willing to pay 45 million euros in severance pay for Sergio Aguero.'

These guys sound like they have their collective fingers directly on the pulse.

Interesting comment from him today - rough translation but in the spirit of:
I'm an Independiente guy so I wouldn't play for Racing.
But in Madrid? I'm just an Atletico employee - and I want to leave.

Basically confirming that he'd go to Real Madrid if they bid the release clause which we already knew but adding that extra twist of perspective.

Hope he doesn't join a PL rival.. Although I wouldn't think he would suit united either!

He'd probably best suit Chelsea, in a Anelka "drifting" type role and maybe City - only if they lose Tevez. Though I don't think he'd be as effective as Tevez is in City's 4-5-1 formation preferred under Mancini.

Very very talented, but I can't see where he'd fit into our team, unless we were to lose/sell 1 or more of our strikers/wingers. The only way we would bid for him probably is if he was going for something stupid like the 20M touted - real value. (bullshit though).

Considering Madrid are apparently close to signing Adebayor would a move across the city mean either Benzema or Higuain is off?

Mourinho's never really been one for playing two strikers.

Same as, I think he will go on to be a far better player than Tevez.

I hope he doesn't come to England, I'll end up hating him.
