After 5 years, of course he was going to want a move to a big club one day. Everyone expected it, was just a matter of time really.
How do you think he will take to Manchester? His international colleague has been very complimentary.

Tevez hasn't stuck around at any club he's been at, and to be fair Aguero seems like a much more level headed character. I doubt he will kick up much of a fuss like our old buddy Carlitos.

I don't think that means he'll necessarily do it again.

Berbatov forced his way out of Spurs, he's generally not otherwise kicked up a fuss.

He came here for football reasons & snubbed City's money, Aguero's acceptin an offer he cant refuse purely because he's that type of man.. Off the top of my head, Messi seems to be only top Argie player in Europe thats got any class..

I am exaggerating, obviously, but I honestly would not be surprised if something similar to the Tevez/Robinho sagas occurred.

If the transfer goes through, of course.

Easy to say that i suppose, as no striker City have signed in the past 5 years has stuck around for long enough. Going to be extremely strange seeing him in City colours.

Given that City are a Champions League side now (and Atletico finished 7th last season) I don't think we can really say by default anymore that people are going to City for the money.

U can bet your life on it that Maradona advised him on the City move & in the process makin his Daughter a very wealthy woman... I hope they enjoy gettin the flu once or twice a year... Pity Tevez wouldnt get something much worse tho!

Fair point, but if u believe the rumours that Chelsea were after him, then him goin to City still backs that opinion up man.. Real were supposed to have been in for him aswell, maybe he decided against it because of Athletico, who knows... We should ask Sneijder if God does tho!

Atletico probably received the highest offer from City. I do not know if Real even made a bid. Seems like Nobody else was willing to pay his buy out clause 40m euros, which ultimately has led to the likely move to the bitters.

If multiple clubs had bids accepted then it is likely he was after the dosh but without knowing who matched Atletico's asking price, as opposed to posturing and saying they wanted him its all conjecture.

Well more so than it would be anyway.

Great signing for them.Feel they could be a threat this season and in a way i welcome it.

I don't. If they get Nasri, too, they'll have the best squad in the land - with a Mourinho, they'd be clear favourites for the title.

Why couldn't those damned sheikhs buy Aston Villa or Sunderland or something like that instead?

38m for Aguerro? No, saf is right there is no value in the Market (!) let's stick with what we've got.

Sky reporting that he has arrived in Manchester , with a fee of £38 mill and £200,000 per week

It's a lot of money but in modern day footballing terms, he'll provide better value for money than the likes of Kaka, Torres, and Sanchez among other big movers for big bucks over recent times. He's the right age and with the right world-class ability with further scope for improvement to spending such a sum on IMO unlike a certain Dutchman we are linked with.

You're getting blinded by the City hatred tbh.Nowaydays there are also sporting reasons (on top of financial ones) which can motivate a player into joining City.
He went for the only club who truly wanted and could afford him while,a club that will play CL football (something he hasn't done in the last 2 years).
What is he supposed to do ? Refuse to go to City because they have lots of money and are ready to spend it on him ?

With the way the market is and City having so much money to spend , £38 mil is about right for him , his age and his proven ability.

Not sure about his reasons for joining City , to be honest , more for the money than for them becoming a dominant force in the PL and CL.
The reported £200,000 per week would tempt anybody.

They should now let Tevez rot in reserves in my opinion for a bit for the complete lack of respect he has shown over the last 2 years and especially to Mancini.

It's what he deserves.

He needs to realise one day that his alien shit doesn't smell of roses.

I find the "he's only going for the money" argument a little boring now. They won the cup last season and now can provide CL football and a realistic chance of competing for trophies, anyone who can't see that is biased in the extreme. Yeah, the money they can offer players is a factor no doubt but the sporting appeal is now growing due to the progress they've made and the "project" they can sell to a player they want.

This would be excellent , but it wont happen.
They will need to sell him.
Having so many player earning mega buck , how will the new rules affect them with this new signing ?

Haven't they already got the best squad in the land? How would they line up if they keep tevez?

I said I was not sure if he was going for the money , I suspect that plays a part , also the chance of CL football must of played a part.
Nobody can deny that City are becoming a major force in football and the next few seasons could be massive for them.

I just hope no one goes for their players.

Tevez, Dzeko, Aguero, Balotelli, Adebayor. 4 strikers out of 5 known to make demands. Three of them damaging to squad harmony. All of them on huge wages. Probably make more than the whole Swansea team.

We know that Tevez wants out , thought that Adebayor wanted to go too.
That would leave the with just the 3 , mind you there must be a cloud over Balotelli too.

Atletico Madrid and Argentina star Sergio Aguero has arrived in Manchester to undergo a medical ahead of his reported £40 million move to Manchester City. Eurosport,

They've just replaced Tevez with someone of Tevez quality. He will probably get better than Tevez ability because he's so young, but I'm not worried. They aren't exactly lacking in goals are they? What they should be doing is trying to get a decent CB to partner Kompany.
