Sergio Aguero

Their attack was more of a problem last season then the defense was. Of course that's natural when you play 4-3-3 with 3 defensive midfielders. I think that helped Kompany and partner look more comfortable, nevermind Hart.

Aguero is definitely better than Tevez atm. You can obviously see that Tevez's head is all over the place. He was very much a leaking piece of rubbish in Copa America.

More than anything else they need a big change of tactics by Mancini. He has all kinda of players but he's too defensive.A ball playing central midfielder instead of Barry wouldn't hurt either

They've just replaced Tevez with someone of Tevez quality. He will probably get better than Tevez ability because he's so young, but I'm not worried. They aren't exactly lacking in goals are they? What they should be doing is trying to get a decent CB to partner Kompany.

They had the joint-best goals conceded record in the league last season, what's wrong with their defence?

Gah, even Chelsea weren't this fecking mad. City are a such a cancer on our game.

Also, I bet you to feck they have an "interview" in which he claims he's heard City have more fans in Manchester.

I think they genuinely struggle to break teams down away from home.

A player of Aguero's class would surely help with that.

Problem is inflation. That much is obvious. They're also making 100k per week a norm.
And how is the PL better?

Great signing for them, basically for the Andy Caroll price they're getting a world class player(or talent) on their hands.

yeah but you will get RAWK saying they are both in the same class.

Agreed. But I thought it was generally agreed that RAWK is a house of deluded and retarded Scousers, so I'm not sure it's worth paying any attention to them.

I agree about the money thing .
Getting the best players in the world playing in the PL can only make it better , cant it ?

Well. Shvechenko, Veron, Crespo and more disagree. It's not like they are going to use them all. They play so defensively that you won't notice much difference from last season. When you have only three attacking players on the pitch, maybe four, it's going to be difficult doing anything since Aguero and Silva both tend to hang on the ball a lot. Dzeko needs service but Tevez, he shot a lot from many angles.

I'm rambling a bit but so far their signings have not been an improvement apart from possibly Aguero. If he can adapt quickly he probably will. But in all the striker talk people still forget that they have Bellamy and Sant Cruz there as well. Wayne Bridge is also getting paychecks from them.

So at the moment their wage bill is at about 500k higher per week as they haven't gotten rid of any players yet and no one wants to take on that pay check.

Astonishing. Yes, Carroll may benefit them for the home-grown rules, lower wages, not need any time to settle, probably be more loyal, offer them something a bit different etc, but that is simply astonishing.

Andy Caroll's fee was an anomaly, a daylight robbery by Newcastle on Liverpool. It shouldn't be used like it has been this past few months as a reference to judge any transfer fee

I think in future transfers Andy Carroll should be used as a measurement. i.e Cristiano Ronaldo is approxately 80 million or 2.1 Andy Carrolls.

Correct. It should be used solely to laugh at Liverpool.

why ? They have the money and want the best players
Iam not a City lover by a long way but dont see the problem with them buying the players they are ,makes for a better PL and that can only be good.

It makes for an uneven PL, not a better one.

Absolutely. I'm sick of people saying 'If Carroll costs 35m then...', because Carroll was clearly not worth 35m and the price tag was laughable for a player of that quality.

They will have one hell of a player on their hands with Aguero... he is really special.

Doesn't mean much though, they are developing a spending culture similar to that of Real Madrid where players come in for huge amounts of money but because of constant changes and different signings they just wipe out any hope of consistency. This is something we at United have, and they will never have if they keep doing what they are doing.

It's almost inevetable, esp. as these Fair Play rules are not enforced

It isn't inevitable. There is only so much you can buy with money, competition in the league is strong and they will have to fight hard and buy reasonably to get there.

Aguero better than Suarez? I dont think so.

- RAWK

How do we know if Aguero is better than Suarez? How do we know if he'll do better than Tevez.

I hope he flops the Argentinian prick. Jo, Balotelli, Aguerro, Dzeko, Tevez, Adabayor, Santa Cruz couldn't give a shit who they play up front. They're shit, will continue to be shit, and are a team filled with cnuts.

Well one thing is clear now - he's shown himself to be a mercenary of the highest order, who puts money before playing for a club with tradition and history
