I just heard someone bigging him up on SSN saying that as well as being a striker, he's a penalty box operator and this somehow makes him even better than a striker. I thought that's what a striker was?

No, this is a penalty box operator:

I'm actually a bit sad about this, probably the wrong word, but I've always admired him as a player and thought he was in or capable of being in the top bracket of players and he seems a good lad to boot. The fact he is signing for that bunch of numpties and he'll no doubt spout the usual "big club and United are scared" bollocks seems likes such a shame.

Care to reason with me?

For a start neither Tevez or Dzeko are Keepers, Dzeko could blag it with his height and build but Tevez would be shite.

Ballotelli doesn't have the discipline for a defensive role while Aguero doesn't stand a chance as a sweeper. Milner is predominately right footed and despite plaing on the left for Villa, I can't see it working for him.

Having two in midfield is suicide and Mancini will never do it.

4 strikers? Crazy.

Also playing out of choice with 10 men seems arrogant and unnecessary.

Tevez/Dzeko

Balotelli/Silva-----------------Aguero--------------Milner/Johnson

Barry/Toure--------------De Jong

Clichy---------Lescott/Toure-----------Kompany---------Richards

Aguero would never play behind Tevez, Aguero's always been a striker and is best in advanced positions while Tevez was initially an attacking midfielder and is best as a support striker.

Aguero can easily play behind a Tevez. That is the role in which his career started out and the one in which he won things for Argentina at age group level. He and Tevez will form a fluid partnership.

the truth is this below:

----------------------------Tevez/Dzeko------------------------

Balotelli/Johnson------------Silva--------------Aguero-----

--------------Toure/Barry--------------De Jong-------------------

Clichy---------Lescott/Toure-----------Kompany---------Richards

Is likely to be how City line up. With the front 3 of Balottelli, Tevez/Dzeko and Aguero free to do as they please.
