I'm a realist and I know that Messi would never play for us, so it's a bit of a pointless question

The Argies that we have already had proved to be great deals, didn't they?

Veron - flopped
Heinze - utter shite
Tevez - cnut

I've had my fill with them and would rather us not bother with any of those feckers again.

But that is my opinion. Everyone else can carry on creaming their kecks over a 'decent' striker playing for a mid-table Spanish team. A player that has been outscored by Diego Forlan.

So we're to discount signing players based on previous failures? I'm glad that didn't apply to Nottingham Forest players.

Decent first season in a poor United side. He was made to look better than he actually was. He made plenty of last gasp tackles, which looked good but it was down to his piss poor positioning that he had to make tackles like that.

He couldn't even take a throw in ffs. Useless, and a total bleating cnut because Evra ousted him out. 100% fanny

I agree. However, that tackle on Morientes was fecking class nevertheless :D

Heinze was a fair defender but a shite attacker, he's crossing was poor, he seemed like he had a good free kick but only scored 1 for us I think, TBF, he was poor playing CB for us when all our defenders were injured and once Evra settled down and was one of our best players, he starts bitching like Tevez did and once Rafa wanted him and he wanted to move.... this angered all the fans..

TBH, he wasn't totally shite, had a few good moments, was a really tough and crazy defender and will always stick his leg in just like Vidic did but he didn't have the pace, the flair, the attacking presences that Evra gives us and once Evra started to show that he is GOD, sadly Heinze fell out of the pecking order which by fair, Evra will and always will be the better player.

In summary, he was good, but only a little bit good... just above average.

Yeah i'd agree with that, though i'm still struggling to remember him doing anything other than waving his arms around at the linesman :)

errr. he was the supporters player of the season in his 1st season with us!

So? The reason he got that 'accolade' was because our team that season was piss poor. He showed a bit of fight and grit, which is what a supporter likes to see. You bond instantly with players like that. After his injury during his second season, the real Heinze stood up and he wasn't very good.

Watch his performance in the San Siro in the EC semi and tell me he was a good player.

Totally exaggerate the point why don't you?

Heinze & Tevez (and Veron did too) were whining feckers because things weren't going their way. Because they weren't in the first XI, they moaned like little fecking girls, one threatened/begged to join Liverpool, the other went to City.

Maybe I'm over generalising the Argentinians, and putting them all in the same bracket, but they just come across as moaning cnuts when things don't go their way. United>moaning Argies.

I'd rather we didn't take the risk of getting another moaning cnut in because he's not in the first XI all the time and I'm certainly not in the minority when I say Aguero can feck off for £50m!!!!! (like we'll ever pay that anyway)

I think thats harsh, TBF, Kaka back then was in the form of his life... and secondly his poor form was also prior to moving him to CB.

Blaming him on the San Siro game alone is just too harsh, we was always used when we needed a tough tackler at LB, while when we were breaking teams we'd use Evra, he was sold due to thinking he was the better LB and wanted 1st team football.

You can't just say all Argies will come, moan, whine and feck-off, I'm sure there are Argies that just dream for playing for us, we just haven't signed the right ones...

Just talking sense you know.... I don't like whining footballers either. More like my role model and professional footballer would be OLE. If only Tevez wasn't owned by Kia... I think he'd still remain a popular figure at United. I'm certain of that.

Heinze wasn't shite, was he? I'm actually having trouble remembering much about him; all i can picture is him waving his arms around and shouting at the linesman. I always liked him though, and he was something of a fan's favourite at OT. I always thought it was strange how he suddenly started wanting off to Liverpool. Obviously Evra was bullying him.
He was fairly good in his first season, but even then he was over-rated by a lot of the fans because of his grit. My biggest memory of him is that he was probably the worst passer I've ever seen in a Utd shirt (not counting keepers ;)). He'd do fairly well defensively and would win the ball back, but more times than not he'd give it straight back to the opposition and put our entire team on the back foot. People complain about O'Shea doing that now, but Heinze makes O'Shea look like Scholes on the ball.

Totally exaggerate the point why don't you?

Well, no...you did that.

A) Heinze was not shite. He was very good for us almost all of the time, people see that he tried to move to Liverpool and then make up all sorts of bollocks about him being a shit player.

B) Diego Forlan is one of the best strikers in the world and god knows he'd be a huge improvement on our current partners for Rooney.

That said I must have watched Aguero 20-30 times and I've never really got exactly what makes him so amazing and Capel, Navas, Jurado, Canales etc.. such minor talents, and let's not forget he's 22 now not 18. Still we all said the same about Torres and look how that worked out.

Incorrect. He was a liability. Like I've already said, good/decent 1st season, injury then shite. Couple that with a shite attitude. Useless. He was also shite at Real Madrid and they couldn't wait to get rid of him.

Diego - Granted, he's done well in Spain but he was shit for us. Some players just aren't suited to play for United or the Premier League.

Aguero - I just don't get it with him. I've seen nothing to suggest he's worth what some people are willing to pay for him.

It's not harsh. If Kaka was in the form of his life, Heinze should have dealt with him and put in a performance worthy of a United player. He saw himself as the best defender at the club, what were we paying his wages for? Our team going into that match were knackered but some 'senior' players should have stood up to be counted. Heinze saw himself as one of those indespensible players yet he put in a performance akin to someone that has never played centre back before.

And I admit I'm being a bit of a twat re: Argentinians. But it's fun seeing the reactions on here . It's all SHOCK HORROR

Explain how I exaggerated. You don't want an Argentinian because previous ones have had issues. Birtles and Webb were shit for United so naturally given you reasoning it would have been wise not to sign any other players from that club.

A player that has been outscored by Diego Forlan.

Outscored by one of the best goalscorers in the world during the last few seasons? Outscored by a player who scored 32 goals in 32 league games during 08/09, half of them with his left foot and a dozen or so from outside the box? How mediocre this Aguero must be.

Sounds like Atletico are trying to encourage some interest, to be honest the lads not worth anything close to 50 million so their pissing in the wind if they hoping for that sort of cash, hes a 25-30 million tops player for me, i think hes massively overrated myself, good player very talented but hes not the world superstar hes cracked up to be from what ive seen.

Maybe the apparent lack of genuine interest at the moment is a testament of that.
Not really. Clubs don't need to be in any hurry to sign him. There are a number of good strikers available this summer.

Bottom line Atletico are just talking big. They'd take anything close to 20 million and run.

Id actually be happy if Chelsea signed him, ive never really been overly impresed by him i mean hes a good player an all for sure but he dosnt look the star quality that hes been billed for so long now it seems, i think he could flop over here.

Id rather they spalshed out on him than an Ozil thats for sure.

I think Aguero has all the ingrediants, he just needs that catalyst to step up and join the top tier of footballers. I think that catalyst could be a new team with better players or a different league. I'd rather he stayed away from any of our rivals to be honest.

I probably shouldnt have worded it the way i did, happy wasnt really what i mean, i meant more along the lines of id rather they splashed out on Aguero than an Ozil type who i believe would make them alot stronger.

But yes of course in an ideal world any player with such raw ingrediants wed not want turning up at our rivals.

Argentina striker Sergio Aguero has fuelled rumours of a possible move to Stamford Bridge, saying the thought of a future with Chelsea 'excites' him.

Aguero, 22, has been linked with a number of high-profile clubs in the summer transfer window following his rise to fame at Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish side appear to have already conceded defeat in their attempts to retain his services, saying their star man can go for the right price.

"If an offer comes in from the right club and Atletico feels it is the right price, then a deal can be done," Aguero told the Daily Star on Sunday.

"Of course Chelsea is of interest as they are one of the most powerful teams in European football.

"They show their intent summer after summer in the transfer market and more often than not that intent will see them end the season with at least one trophy."

Heinze was solid for us but I think for a lot of us Evra put into perceptive Heinze's quality. He was good but nothing more nothing less. Also, he got worse and worse as his United career went on. Evra was so much better than him that he decided to leave rather than fight in vain for a place in the side.

I believe Evra's progress was in part down to Heinze. When Evra came to United he didnt show a lot of heart, grit and determination, tough sliding tackles, ability in the air... All things Evra now shows each game when he plays for us. But things Heinze used to show before him. Over time Evra seemed to add these strengths of Heinze's game to his own... And there was only going to be one winner if he did that. Before his injury Heinze was no worse for us than Gary Neville and we'd suffered through many seasons with poor performances from left backs so we were all very happy to have found someone who was among the better performers in that position in the premier league. But Evra, after the hard work and transformation, is a few levels above anything Heinze ever was.

The Spanish press are reporting that he's signed a new deal, extending his contract to 2015 on higher wages, but he's also negotiated a reduced release fee clause - 45m Euros now (it was 60).

So he's basically signed a "come and get me" plea and had his wages hiked in the process? Who's Kun's agent? Rooney sign him up, Rooney, Rooney, sign him up(and ditch that cnut Stretford):smirk:

37 - 38 m

So 7-8m more than what Gareth Bale's said to be worth? I'd take that. Don't think he's shown all he's capable of in recent seasons. Had an amazing season when he was 19/20, out shined Forlan at the time. In recent season it's been the other way round. But he's got huge potential.
