Its football rumours, of course its bullshit. Just fancied cheering you all up.

Meh, personally I hope it's true. Gerrard is a better player than Aguero currently and they basically play the same position (alongside Torres). Also, let's not forget that last time Torres and Aguero played together (at Atletico), they weren't much cop (or should that be Kop? :nervous:).

Talk Sport just said that Chelsea have made advances for him today and United are also monitoring the situation. Things could start getting interesting.

When he signs for Chelsea, or just stays in Madrid, we can now get the obligatory "Aguero snubs United" story.

So it is 20m Euro and Berbatov or 40m Euro and Nani.

So either way it is a offer (or suggested offer) of more than 55m Euros.

I'd honestly go with 20 million and Berbatov over 40 million and Nani, throw stones feel free, that's is just my thoughts on the matter.

I disagree. First of all that fee would be outrageous. Secondly Berbatov can lead the line, Aguero cant.

Kun would score more goals than Berbatov and also let United play at a quicker pace.

Kun can't lead the line because he is small and not built at all. Compared to Kun, Tevez looks like Keane. Not only that, with Valencia, Nani and Tosic we have some quality crossers in the team. Why should we waste that ability to stick to a little midget upfront?

Anyway SAF will stick to Barbie for at least another season.

Your last point is true, I was just saying my preference on the deal

Manchester United To Offer €20m Plus Dimitar Berbatov For Aguero - Spanish Press

Manchester United have continued their relentless assault to lure Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid as they look to remould their attacking arsenal.
Following rumours of a failed €46 million bid last week, the Premier League champions are now ready to take a different approach to whet Atleti’s appetite.

According to AS, the Red Devils are now considering including player exchanges to sweeten the deal
, and their preferred option is believed to be a payment of €40 million plus Portuguese winger Nani. But Los Colchoneros have no interest in signing a wide player as they already have that department well covered.

The second option is said to be a fee of €20m plus striker Dimitar Berbatov, who supposedly fancies a move to the Vicente Calderon. This would bring the total transfer figure to roughly €56 million, based on the Bulgarian’s €36m move to Old Trafford just last summer.

However, that is still unlikely to convince the Atletico directors, who have repeatedly insisted that only an offer that matches Aguero’s buy-out clause of €60 million will be enough to kick-off negotiations.

Even if a transfer is accepted, AS speculates that United could face another obstacle as they will have to meet the Argentine hot-shot’s sky high wage demands, believed to be around €12.5m-per-year.

Just not going to happen

Just sounds like shit all the way to me. Funnikly enough, especially the part about Berba - reckon he'll have a point to prove this season. It's also way too early to ditch Nani especially after 'him' has left.

It's not so much that, just that we don't need one at the cost of losing Berbatov or, potentially, our best winger for next season.

there no way fergie would want to get rid of berba or nani either.....

If Berbatov was part of any deal I would start to question SAF's decision making big time.

I would be seriously pissed.

Signing him would be pointless, he's young and already has an outstanding potential but his profile of players isn't what we could possibly need.

He's not, so don't, and don't be.

This is has the 'crap journalism' alarm ringing at full tilt -

"Dimitar Berbatov, who supposedly fancies a move to the Vicente Calderon"

Yeah there's no way Ferguson would use Berbatov in the deal.

I just hope that we are interested, he's a fantastic player.

Why do they even bother to make up these rumours?

How often does a big player move one way with a big player going the opposite?

No-where near as often as the press conjure up, that's for sure

Can't remeber the last time a player swap was involved in a deal, let alone high-profile deals like Brad said.
