When ibra played for PSG they fell out. He called ibra and blanc a pair of faggots. I could imagine ibra kicking the head off him in training

Just noticed your location. Surely you heard this before?
He didn't, he only called Blanc a faggot and said he was sucking Zlatan, which means arse licking in French modern urban slang.
The only thing he said about the Swede was when asked if Zlatan was bullying him that he wasn't a fool and knew better than to mess with him.

There is no beef between Ibra and Aurier.

Why sign a right back when Kieran Trippier is one of the best right backs in the world?

Just blancs beef willy

Fair enough, I'll bow to your knowledge of it. I'm just going by what I read on the interwebs

And what sort of message does this send all those amazing kids that view Spurs as the pinnacle of opportunity and youth development? Makes no sense :p

Might have to drop Walker-Peters off the list of evidence that Spurs is the best place for young players.

Can't help but feel we've missed a trick here. A talented RB for a reasonable price at a good age could have had a year to acclimatise before fully taking over from Valencia.

We will probably have to replace Valencia next year and end up spending a lot more.

So you can assault a police officer and be allowed in the country to work and not even be an EU citizen. Amazing this country.
He appealed and the french court overturned it's original decision, probably because he never assaulted the cop in the first place.

We're dammed if we do and we're dammed if we don't .

:D Just having a bit of a light-hearted laugh at some of the pious and pompous Spurs ramblings we are some times subjected to on this forum - in reality I think this is a great move by Spurs, and should offer tremendous value if the quoted price is accurate.

Selling Walker for £50m and buying a better player for £25m is just ridiculous.

How we are not all over this I'll never know. Mourinho must have some serious doubt about his character since on abillity alone he would be amazing.

if the courts overturned their decision its likely because he managed to prove he didn't assault anyone

Will certainly be interesting to see how he does for Spurs because most people on here seem to consider him world class. Walker made team of the year last year and was MOTM for City in his first game. Not saying Walker is world class but will be interesting to compare these two all season.

I've not seen a whole lot of him but Walker has never been an elite fullback so Aurier doesn't need to be either to improve upon him. Walker was very good last season and is a good signing for City but this just reaffirms the fact he was bought for a ludicrous price.

"if"

then how is he getting in/work permit? what was the result of the appeal?

The appeal hasn't been scheduled yet and the work permit only concerns the UK, they do what they want.

After watching Valencia's poor attacking play today I really hope we try to hijack this deal.

Let's do what Chelsea did with Willian. :smirk:
Yeah exactly but I reckon we are done for the summer. Really hoped we get some fullbacks in because we just can't rely on Shaw's fitness and we have Darmian as a backup for Valencia.

Needs replacing.

As good as he is defensively I'm past the point of being able to put up with him.

Semedo should've been the target if the desire is to outright replace Valencia.

Valencia is our starting captain, a very loyal servant to the club, who has always put the team before his ego. And he has made an amazing transformation into a world leading right back.

Some random shiny toy is available and some of our fans talk shit about Valencia. Its just so disrespectful and pisses me off.

Calling it now, he won't be as good as people make him out to be.

Probably.

He should show everyone some time.

Wouldn't be surprised to see someone brought in during the January window if Shaw doesn't impress. I want to see Mitchell given a chance though.

Not too sure of any standout options in the market for RB now that Aurier's probably gone, but we need to act fast regardless to avoid running into trouble when Valencia really declines.

I know Walker left but isn't Trippier good enough? Strange window from Spurs signing 2 defenders as oppose to adding quality to the other end of the pitch

Valencia is good but we will need a replacement/alternate soon. Plus someone who can cross would be nice. Valencia loves killing any space he has by standing up to the defender and doing his usual kick and cross (into shins) routine. Kudos in turning into a good fullback but we'll need another RB soon. Right now LB is probably more important.

he has many a time, if you can't spot it, then I'd question what you're watching. Squawka analysis above proves the point.
Proves that neither of them are productive or good attackers.
