This guy couldn't get a work permit and wasn't even allowed to come to England when PSG played against City (or was it Chelsea).

Has that changed? If not then why is this even being debated
Arsenal.

Nothing's changed. He appealed the decision but don't know when we find out the verdict. Doubt it'll change.

Well there’s Gill and Fergie to help us out with a few brown envelopes to the home office or whoever the feck deals with that shit. Said the Scousers.

They're not as bad as certain outlets but like Raiola pointed out they do spout bollox from time to time.

Mate, you have no idea about what Raiola is talking about neither you or I can pick a side on that case. Unless if you are close enough to PSG or Ibrahimovic to know if PSG paid his italian taxes and if he repaid them. I know I don't.
There are numerous examples where Lequipe were in the wrong, that tweet isn't one of them.

I've posted tweets on here long enough to know which outlets are reliable and which are not. Lequipe were awful in Van Gaals first season with us. The only outlet I take notice of in France is RMC.

I'm only willing to give credit to RMC myself. In general, I don't trust papers and I don't believe something because it's written in L'equipe, they don't really make shit up and very often they are awfully translated on twitter, with tweets claiming that L'equipe said something that they didn't.

L'equipe have been very hit and miss in the past from what I've seen. You're probably right about them being misinterpreted and could be why I'm a bit sceptical about them. But I will go with your superior knowledge on the French media/press and agree with your take on L'equipe.

The problem with Lequipe is that they have provocative titles and often tweets don't take into account what is written in the article. Also Lequipe is a daily, so some articles are information and others are speculation like the last article about Aurier, the writer is clearly listing Aurier's options based on past knowledge.

We are not gonna sign an RB without signing a CDM or winger first. If I remember correctly, Bald Dunc did say Jose wanted 3 more signings despite his public stance, so its' possible an RB is on the cards. But not until the priority signings are done and dusted.

Though, I'd say an LB is even more pressing than an RB at the moment. We currently have Shaw, Blind and Darmian as choices for LB, some smaller clubs have better options than those 3.

You can make a case for a left-back, right-back, #6, #8, winger & #10. I imagine the #6 is the priority because the only player we have for that role is turning 36 next week. I doubt Aurier features on any of our lists of targets, given his criminal record and related visa issues.

I've actually stopped clicking on articles by Delaney. Don't wanne give him clicks by writing bs about Man Utd.

We could need a player like Aurier, but we dont need the personality. Mourinho must have learned what one bad apple can do to a group. Please stay clear. We have a great group now. Please dont ruin it.

We're not in for Aurier, he's desperate to leave PSG now he's slipped down the pecking order, and is using our name to drum up interest, just as James Rodriguez did earlier in the summer. Complete non-story.

I hope you are correct.

I deeply believe he has the potential to be the best RB of the Premier League.

I even think he is made to play there and he needs to leave France given the media coverage about him in the last 2 years.

Very powerful and offensive.

Worth coping with his controversies though?

Some controversies when he was 22 and 23. Aurier is 24 now.

The last season was quiet on this subject.

Mourinho is the man to tame him IMO

I could see an argument for us signing a right back and pushing Valencia forward to play as a winger instead of spunking £50m at Perisic.

Is this dude even good? I liked what I saw in the 2014 WC but whenever I watched PSG in the CL he was average as hell.

And that's just his thoughts on Blanc and Zlatan! ;)

I'd be happy to see him here. People do change and one would hope Mourinho would have a positive impact on him.

Waste of time talking about this. He'll never get a work permit. LB is way more important anyway.

Agree with those who say RB is least of our priorities.. but sometimes an opportunity presents itself to get a future-proof signing who could be a mainstay for years to come and at a bargain price, so one could see why such a transfer could be elevated into a priority even though right here right now Valencia does not need replacing whatsoever. He's more talented than the likes of Walker, more intimidating than a Semedo and he's going for £25m which is a bargain in this market.

That said if we had a chance to save £25m on Aurier and get Mendy for £50m, I'd do it because LB is the bigger priority right now.

Has the police assault incident concluded? no more court dates?

I can't see us signing him even at a bargain price if that is still ongoing

He has appealed against the original sentence: two months prison.

Contractual terms and conditions could enable his acquirer to cover and mitigate this risk.

Yeah he's really good, just not very likeable.

Theres rumours darmians angling for a move back to italy, and like darmian aurier can play both flanks. Spurs seem interested, hed probably be first choice there. Obviously hes mates with pogba though although seemingly everyone in europe is.

Talk about value for money. I would take him in a hartbeat and move Valencia to the wing if needed and rotate them at RB at times. Both beasts.

I'm not necessarily a fan of Aurier himself, but I suppose he is going to be relatively cheap and he wants out of PSG due to a lack of playing time. I suppose that signing a right back could give us license to play Valencia as a winger again, which kinda resolves the need to sign a winger for this window at least. I'd prefer it to not be Aurier, but we'll see.

Hearing for the appeal will be at the start of August apparently. I doubt he'll be moving anywhere until that is concluded.

Is there anything going with this at all? I have checked twitter and loads of news reports but nothing seems concrete with this deal

Or else I have missed something?

Nah, just little rumours. There won't be anything concrete to any club (British at least) until after his appeal as currently he's not eligible for a work permit.

He is natural fit next to his compatriot and Friend Bailly.
He is built for the PL.
What happens if Valencia misses 6 weeks? plus he is getting up there in age...can we really go TFM?..Darmian is just better on the left. Not looking forward to seeing Darmian in RB with Blind as the LB.

Google translate-
Nfo Paris U] Raiola approached S.Courbis for the transfer of # Aurier to Man Utd (trial on 07/08). Negotiations continue.

They have been very very good and reliable with information in relation to PSG. Looks like we are signing him? It is so confusing with what jose is saying and what press is reporting.
