Edit: as somebody mentioned, Aurier did play left back at Toulouse. So let say he can do a decent job, then we don't need a left winger to keep width. However, this would mean we need a DM as both full backs going high &a wide would leave too much space. Nobody would want Pogba to be stuck too deep to do defensive work all game.

The thing with him is, he is a bomb waiting to explode, he might face trial and may be sentenced. He might not even get a work permit for the same reason. He fought the police(Assault) maybe he is famous and little altercation has been named assault but until that is cleared his transfer will be a risk.
If we're to sign him, then I think we already did our homework. Since those incident, he has done well staying quiet with his private life antic since.
Of course, this trial can be decisive, but for what it's worth, at the rumored price, he is a very good option.
