If he has self respect after losing the ball to run back to try and win it after only being on the field 5 minutes, only then he will have respect.

He should never see the club's training ground starting today.

These people. I’ll leave it here.

If West Ham want to sign Ward Prowse for £35m instead of Mctominay, that's their loss. I'd much rather keep Mctominay, he's a very useful squad option.
McT is brilliant at protecting the back 4 in a team that is parking the bus - because he wins so many headers.
Mctominay is the most natural replacement for Rice in terms of style of play, he may not be as calm or as good on the ball in terms of calmness and passing ability but the way he dispossesses opposing players and can drive the ball forward is very similar to Rice.
Mctominay is easily worth 40m
I'm glad we stuck out for >£40m. We cane the club for selling cheaply, and when we have a player who could easily command a fee of £40m, we criticize them for going too high.
I feel there's a very decent #8, box to box CM, in him that we've failed to utilise correctly and that he really could have become a very decent squad player with us had we used him more, when selected, in his best role.
Even at £45m, McTominay is an insanely good deal. Home grown, international player, strong mentality, versatile to the manager’s needs, entering his peak years.
45m is a fair price
he’s a fine player to have around the squad. Strong mentality and the kind of profile ETH likes, by all accounts. I think he’s still got room to improve, even at 26.
He's worth keeping if we properly use him as a utility player.

He can play CB, as an 8 and I think he could even play fullback and CF and give you something.
If McTominay were Brighton or West Ham player, people would rate him £100m +. It is no wonder teams like Bayern Munchen are interested.
Well, Rice and Caicedo who are worse players are now somehow rated £100m players. McTominay, if we use their measurement, would be worth lot of millions more.
I would ask instead. What does Rice and Caicedo do to be valued £100m+? None of those are better players looking from attacking piont of view. With a good engine and strong in physical game McTominay is a all around player.
McTominay would make a lot of posters on here eat humble pie if he moves to Bayern.
Chronically underrated by this place. Don’t see based on last season how Rice is much better (although he is better) and he went for £100m.

Has he not got a sprint to defend in him? Bayern attacking and run past him and he just jogs/ saunters after the attacker when he should be sprinting, hes fighting for a place in the team, ffs, show some fire Or bog off to Fulham.

I was talking about how he should be used given he's here but there's no doubt his effort and attitude has been terrible thos season. He's no use anywhere the way he is at the moment.

The inability of this lad to control his own feet meant our counter pressing turned into Bayern counter attacking more than once. £30m would have been a steal.

How could he give something as a fullback or number 9?! He barely gives anything as a midfielder!!

Amazingly, that’s an improvement on his performance vs Brighton, where he racked up 20 touches in 85 minutes.

I can abide a bad first touch or lack of quality on the ball in general. The complete lack of effort is inexcusable. He's jogging around and not even trying, like he's trying to prove a point or something. He won't see another minute on the pitch this season if/when 2 of Mount, Amrabat and Mainoo are fit.

Agree with wherever his head currently is. He shouldn't be on the pitch with his effort levels so far this season. Massively disappointed in him.

After this cameo, I am afraid Bayern interest would die off. Bambi on ice display

A vanishing act. Think he should be sold or loaned out at this point, he keeps getting worse.

Not only we have a mediocre squad, but also mediocre fanbase rating Mctominay

In fairness, he does look gorgeous jogging around the pitch. He makes it look effortless out there, knees barely bent, his relaxed muscles bouncing with every step, his blonde hair completely untainted with sweat. You can't blame him for never breaking into a sprint, as the wind might lift his shirt revealing his washboard abs and everyone would completely forget there's a football match going on.

Worst footballer I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Nothing redeemable about him, trash from top to bottom, no ability, no effort, can’t pass, no positional awareness, no press, doesn’t make himself available for the ball, can’t tackle, can’t shoot. Just a complete and utter waste of space.

Deserves to be fined a weeks wage for his lack of effort during his last two appearances

The club is rotten. Fecking McTominay is sulking on the pitch and we are letting it slide.

Fan groups should sue the club for the fraudulent activities at the club. How are they allowed to keep him? Someone must be on the take here.

No reason he should be getting game time over literally anyone involved with the club including the custodial staff, truly baffling how any fee wasn't grabbed with both hands last window.

Also any Scots men around? Does he play like this for you lot? Or is he saving his true magic for United?

For the fourth goal he casually strolls towards Goretzka who plays it to Kimmich and then just stands there watching him play the ball to Tel

Pathetic!

I'd be questioning his mentality after the last couple of performances. Just doesn't do anything, even off the ball.

As i said in another thread I believe Bernardo Silva was told he was welcome to find a new club a bit back wasn't he? and yet he played a role in City's treble last year. Same with Ole in 99. You can put some effort into prove a manger wrong if he thinks you're dispensable.

An absolute fraud of a footballer. The amount of times he has played us and have survived all this while is a disgrace. No club no manager deserve anything for keep playing this bluffer. Give me any genuine random fan from the streets on the pitch instead of him any day of the week. The way he jogs after losing the ball himself is an embarrassment to this club. Has anyone seen him running at full pelt ever? Genuinely asking.

I know Donnys future isn’t with us but surely he still offers more that this guy.

It shows how bad Donny actually is. He is behind every other midfielder we have in the pecking order. If there was one manager that was going to play him, it's ETH.

My god, he's been awful for so long with us. Offers nothing, seems a nice lad but disgraceful on the pitch showing for the ball.
