His improvement over a 12 month period is quite astounding. We look like a completely different team when hes on song.

This lad is the complete package, growing in confidence every game. Plays much better when Pogba is not around. Good leadership on the field. Best thing is his positional sense, knows where to be and where the ball is headed.

Why does Pogba have to been brought up in every thread? Any chance to bash him.

When young players with talent are given chances over an extended period of time, they'll improve. It's not difficult to grasp.

He shouldn't be replacing him, they should be in a 3 with pogba. Would have been a perfect midfield

No. He and Herrera are the same player. They are water carriers with limited technical ability but are very good at closing space, moving the ball quickly and hustling opponents. However, they dont compliment each other. What we need to compliment Pogba and McSauce is a deep lying playermaker/defending midfielder.

Our best midfield player now. Great engine. Great tackler/intercepter and looks good moving forward.
Rate him.

Knew it wouldn’t take long. People just can’t be happy for a player without slagging off another to suit their agenda. Stupid.

In this form he is a big upgrade on Herrera in my opinion, that’s the best compliment I can give him.

Fast becoming my favourite player.

The most impressive thing is he had a great game that didn't change despite an early yellow

Came to post pretty much this. To be booked on 10m and not go missing for the remainder is brilliant. He still got stuck in and showed maturity.

MOTM tonight. Totally bossed the midfield with ten tackles / interceptions and worked his ass off. Was also a threat when going forward. He has taken several steps under Ole.

Fergie was bending Mou's ear about him, right? No wonder, Fergie can spot character from miles away, and our boy Scott's got tons of it.

If he keeps it up and stays focused and keeps adding strings to his bow, this may well be another Fletcher situation.

Scott is our Carrick... and I think his ceiling is higher than Carrick's. He is a Busquets who can run.

Becoming one of my favourite players.

The improvement he’s shown in the past 12 months is incredible.

You could see the potential in him in his first few games, couldn't understand how people were slagging him off.

Reckon he's got a long term starting eleven future for us

Said it after the Barcelona game there really was something about him. Nothing to get carried away with yet, but a real solid performer most games. Seems a great character to.

Mourinho deserves credit for giving him his debut and having confidence in him, whilst most on Redcafe howled with indignant disapproval.

PES knew what they were doing putting him on the cover

He's a real inspiration to those that, although at first you may be average, with a lot of hard work and patience you can become really good at what you do. Never thought he would turn out to be such a solid player as he is now.

He's so good now he has to handicap himself by getting booked ten minutes into the game, yet he still bosses the midfield like it's no thing and not getting close to a second booking. I love this guy. He's special.

McGuire as captain and McTominay and DDG as vice captains from next season.

Build the spine from there.
We have a lot of potential captain types in our youth products.

Tuanzebe - youngest captain of the United academy
Gomes - Captain of his English generation since the u15s
Garner - Captain of England's u19s
Henderson - just look at the man with Sheffield, clearly captain material

Gomes seems to be the quietest of the bunch on the pitch (though he still gives directions), but is probably the captain at United and England because he gets along with everyone it seems like. Actually, Tuanzebe could potentially be more of the Gomes type.

I agree. Unfortunately at this stage he should be what Herrera is at PSG, a very good squad player to rotate and squad depht (same for James) but they're key players here.
He's better than Herrera though. Far more consistent.

I keep reading this. What's the source? You can hardly imagine how happy I'd be to give credit to SAF instead of some portuguese coach for bringing our new midfield dominator to the fore.

Outstanding recently considering his skill level and everything. I would still love to see him as the defensive anchor with more skillful players ahead of his, ala Matic role. he has the ability and energy to play that role to perfection.

Not that it really matters but he needs the number 16 on his shirt next season, after Keane and Carrick
This, like it or not he is our midfield general. He will get the recognition his performances deserve soon enough.

He was class last night, Motm by a mile for me. Iv got to admitt, i wasnt a fan initially, but he's really changing my opinion and can see him getting better and better. Juiced up Darren Fletcher with a goal threat, yes please.

He's been great the last 2 games, needs to find consistency now against smaller teams.

Future captain without a doubt, calm and confident when on the ball and hard and agressive when off it.

He has improved a ton since he first debuted, he seemed a ordinary player with not much go give besides effort, but he is truly shutting mouths includinh mine. He’s becoming one of my favorites his passion is contagious.
