Ryan Giggs | United confirm he's left

Probably for the best, time for him to get some real managerial experience elsewhere (If that is what he wants to do).

So we've gone from blaming random leaks and tabloid garbage on Giggs to now judging his managerial acumen on a documentary and a 30 minute stint as a pundit. Nice to see this thread is still as shit as it ever was.

Thank god he's never appeared on Desert Island Discs... reckon people would be able to decipher some sort of tactical naivety from that

Thanks Ryan, I'm sure he'll be back with the club. Hope he gets great experience externally and returns a wiser coach/manager.

An absolute legend, love the guy but I'm glad he's going. He needs to go out and prove himself before he can be considered for the United job.

This was for the best. If he stayed on and Mourinho got the wind of any undermining of him going on from Giggsy, shit would erupt.

Good look Giggsy.

It's for the best, he's a club legend but needs to get experience elsewhere if his ultimate goal is to be a top manager.

All the best, hope to see him back soon in some capacity. SRG... Legend.

Sad to see him go, but it wasn't going to work out for him here in the short term. Total legend, leaves with nothing but my best wishes - I hope this is so long for now rather than farewell.

Good luck and all the best to him, thanks for three decades of services at the club. Hopefully he does on to have a great managerial career elsewhere, then we can discuss a comeback in the distant future.

Shame it's gone the way it has but that's life.

I will support him wherever he goes (within reason)

I think it is the right decision involving everyone. I hope that Giggs does well in his career, be it as a manager or a pundit.

Hoping to see him back at United as a manager (if he proves himself) or as a director/senior ambassador when one of the two Sirs leaves the club.

I know many will be hoping this isn't goodbye forever but i can't see him back at United in a managerial capacity.

agree completely, I expect he will have moderate success at best as a manager and be generally unacceptable as a future candidate as a manager at this club.

Incredible player and my hero growing up but his shenanigans have tainted his legacy for me too much to ever truly be able to appreciate the guy any more. I do wish him success in future but I was never on board the "GIGGS FOR NEXT UNITED MANAGER" train. Good decision for him, he needs to prove himself now in a new challenge.

I just wonder will he be one of those managers who has so much talk and hype about them that he can never live up to the unreasonable expectations of him. Even if he does a good job for a season or two, people will judge him on the fact he was a candidate for the United job and he may not get the time he needs to actually learn the job. I hope he's successful, though. He's made an extraordinary contribution to United for well over two decades and he clearly loves the club like a fan.

Go earn your medals ryan and you shall return a king, If not then you will be remembered as a great player. Nothing to loose.
On other hand, Jose will think the snake is gone.

Had the pleasure to be there for his debut. I recall the crowd knowing he was something special.

Hope he makes it elsewhere as a manager, but that he doesn't have the need to manage us, due to Mou succeeding year after year after year....:wenger:

Wish him all the best. Hope he has a good career wherever it is.

Though it is necessary moments like this one are always sad. Best wishes for the future whatever he decides as long as it doesn't involve working for Liverpool and City ( I'm sure he will never do either).

Nothing will affect his legend status. One of the greats.

it's a shame he can't stay around in the club coaching. He has a lot of experience & is an approachable bloke, we've lost a great source of experience, a proven winner, someone who's done it all & could share that useful knowledge and experience.

Shame. Thanks for all the great moments and everything you've helped us to win. Good luck Ryan!
