It won't be held up over a work permitOh interesting point - didn't know that. More of a reason to have gotten it wrapped up during the break.

Will be very interested to see if our _____________ improves under a new manager.

Random aside - I was visiting Portugal for the first time and based on my experience in France / Spain assumed I needed some combination of English, Google translate and hand gestures to get my point across and looked like a total fool when the bus driver at the Lisbon airport just responded in perfect English.
Maybe the historical alliance with the English and the friendly ties helped.
Why not?Surely Bruno can’t still be captain. Who could he give it to?
This isn’t a regular citizen applying for a tourist visa. Sports visa have a special process and it’s much quicker. How are we able to sign players today and play them 2 days from now?He has to apply for a permit to work in the UK this will take three weeks.
Any excuse…. Manchester mad lads on a jolly in Portugal. Is the fax machine broken again?
I said last night that I realised that I am exactly as excited and optimistic about Amorim signing for us as I was about ten Hag and that thought was very sobering.
I was all in on ten Hag, I really believed we were signing the right profile - relatively young, on the up, tactically astute and seemingly ready to cut his teeth at a big club. The sort of manager we watched the likes of Brighton and Brentford go for and asked why we didn’t give them a chance.
Phew!Yeah you're right replace Amad with Mainoo.
Poor form, poor attitude. Plus we finished 8th and are now 14th with Bruno as captainWhy not?
Save the flight tickets and send these lads in again
Herrera transfer guys. What's the story with these three again?
I don't know much about either of them but Martinez?I'd replace Amad with Mainoo with Bruno drifting to the right. It's difficult to translate Sporting playing style to United with the players that you have. For example we have two very good ball playing and passing CBs in Debast and Inácio and there's no equivalent at United.
Sounds like we want him in place for the weekend game v Chelsea.
No messing around.
I guess something has been happening behind the scenes for a couple of weeks.
He's too hysterical, doesn't motivate and let's the team's heads dropWhy not?
There's been plenty of talk saying how we've spoken to a few managers. In the summer and more recently. It sounds like he is the anointed one... I just wish we'd consider a few names and interview more than one. Doing otherwise landed us with Moyes - and everything that has followed
They spent the summer interviewing everyone under the sun. It's not like Amorim is the only name that has ever been considered. It sounds like he is the anointed one... The transposters.Herrera transfer guys.
Yoro is an excellent ball playing CB with excellent passing too.I don't know much about either of them but Martinez?
I don't believe they interviewed anyone... might have sounded out availability so that didn't spend time looking at someone who couldn't/didn't want to come but I don't reckon it went further than thatThey spent the summer interviewing everyone under the sun. From the apparent speed this is moving, it seems like they dithered on sacking Ten Hag exactly because they were finding the right candidate and getting this lined up behind the scenes.
I guess we should have stripped Bryan Robson of the captaincy after our mid table finishes in the late 80s.The guy who has captained us to 8th and now 14th. Whose performances is questionable. Who doesn’t inspire others by whiny attitude

Did you post just to wum ? If yes, I will leave it as is. If you really mean it, do you mind explaining the thought ?Another £200m spend needed once he realises he doesn’t have the players to play his 3-4-3? You’ll be needing a pair of proper wingbacks at the very least and having to ship out Bruno who doesn’t fit anywhere in an Amorim system. At least he’s a pragmatist and a reasonable coach so I anticipate results will improve. But there’s more to fix at united than just the coach.
That’s just you conjecturing though. The media thinks otherwise, simply depends on what you want to believe.I don't believe they interviewed anyone... might have sounded out availability so that didn't spend time looking at someone who couldn't/didn't want to come but I don't reckon it went further than that
Is he another counter attack manager then?City not being interested seems to make sense. Sounds like it is quite a passive and counter attacking style when not facing poor teams in Portuguese league. Would suit out players a lot better.
Precisely.I guess we should have stripped Bryan Robson of the captaincy after our mid table finishes in the late 80s.
Roy Keane shouts at referee and teammates: Passion. Leader.
Bruno shouts at referee and teammates: Whiny. Attitude problem.
Keane and Bruno cannot be compared. Keane would have fought the world to protect his team mates. Keane shouted at team mates if they weren’t giving their all, Bruno rolls around like he’s been attacked by a cage fighter whenever he feels any contact and then throws his arms around like Kevin and Perry when he doesn’t get a foul. It’s not the same. We need leaders to win on a consistent basis.I guess we should have stripped Bryan Robson of the captaincy after our mid table finishes in the late 80s.

Poor attitude? You’re having a laugh. Also all the problems art the club are Bruno’s fault? I don’t think so.Poor form, poor attitude. Plus we finished 8th and are now 14th with Bruno as captain
Really? It sounds like he is the anointed one... I just wish we'd consider a few names and interview more than one. Doing otherwise landed us with Moyes - and everything that has followed
Herrera transfer pre-quelWhat's the story with these three? I forgot.
Really?
It honestly sounds like we scoured Europe for the best possible fit. I'm not sure how you arrived at that viewpoint.
Will he get to bring his own coaches? Talk of sporting looking at his assistant to take over from him.
