Hjulmand and/or Gyökeres joining during the january window ?

fair, but it's not like I've left out any goal scorers in our squad. Rashford? Zirkzee? Nah.
Agree but it's the big problem for any manager with this squad and any line up on paper. Plenty of options at the back (lwb is an issue), very little threat up front.

everybody in Germany laughs at Plettenberg. He finds some nuggets here or there, but that's about it.

Couple of weeks ago, he seriously claimed that Red Star Belgrade might sell a player they've loaned out from Stuttgart, with Belgrade bagging the whole profit. I wouldn't trust that dude with anything.
The Silas news? I'm aware of that. He mentioned that this was written into the loan agreement with Red Star Belgrade. Stuttgart will make their money from the sell-on clause that exists.

Anyways, both he and Luckhurst have gotten things wrong (and terribly so at times), but they've gotten way more right than wrong. That's the difference between them and journalists who take riskier punts like Jamie Jackson, Neil Custis, Graeme Bailey, Christian Falk, or Manuel Veth.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him available soon, our players are known to have extra motivation to do well for a new manager.

It depends when his contract expires. That last year is when the likes of shaw tend to shine

Still doing great. We already have our next star/future big sale coming up. Geovany Quenda, a starter for us with 17 years of age. Youngest to score for us in the league and was the MoM against PSV in the CL for me. I can see Amorim wanting Quenda to come with him but he will be expensive.

Right, Quenda it is.

Maybe here in the dirt with the rest of the scumbags, but in the Scout forum we'll continue to doxx and hurl abuse at you.
 fair

What do you think of Amorim doing hair implants? Will you sour on him?

I was watching SkySports earlier and saw Kaveh just chancing on a whim trying to put his own 'journalistic' understanding into the mix, saying Amorim would be waiting for the City job and so he's a distant candidate.

And then a video comes out with him saying he's emerged as being in talks

5-3-2. Bad news for Rashford or Garnacho

Feck INEOS don’t mess about.
Looking forward to his first presser, speaks good English and quite good at dealing with the media.

He plays on the right doesn't he? OK. He's already an upgrade on Anthony. And I'm emailing Berrada to tell him to buy Barcola.

It’s either now or end of the season. Why Jan?
Their league has a 3 week winter breakbfrom mid december to jan, no?
If he wanted to leave his current team in the best possible way mid season, then that would be a good time. Just a thought.

Hi mate how will garnacho and rashy fit in such system?
I actually think Garnacho and Amad will fit well since Amorim like to play with wingers like them. At Sporting it's Quenda and Catamo. Not so sure about Rashford though. I don't see Sporting players with his characteristics in Amorim system.

One thing about Amorim is that he likes giving chances to academy players. We always have one of the youngest teams in our league and european competitions.

How did he do in the CL or EL?
Europa league last season - made it to the final 16, beaten by eventual winners Atalanta.

2022/2023 Champions league - finished third in the group stage, then beaten by Juventus in the QFs of the Europa league.

This season's CL they've won two and drawn one. Though they're yet to be tested against elite opposition (they have Arsenal next).

So, from sexy Dutch football to sexy Portuguese football. We'll see

I know very little about him but know he’s the hipster choice at the minute. Think that 3-4-3 system he apparently likes to play might really suit us too with our CB and CM options.

Pleased that it looks like we’re getting a permanent manager mid season for a change too. Gives him time to assess.

Pretty much. Also means a massive clear out of ETH players next summer in exchange for ones Amorim needs to fully implement his own style of play.
Wasn't the whole point of having a DOF is not having to have these "clear-outs" every time we change manager?
